I have sympathy for the people addicted to garbage like this, but have very little for dealers. I'm going out on the limb saying that the kid was using as well, just the people that knew him can't believe that he would use or something like that, which goes to the "it can happen to almost anyone anywhere" thing.

 

But I also blame our culture, where we have music and all glorifying such things. A young person, having a firearm, and around drugs? Isn't going to end well, eventually.

Users are really good at hiding it.....at first.

KY Has one of the toughest penalties for dealers. At least more than Ohio , and their dealers usually think twice before crossing the river to deal, some do, most won't.

Not in a neighborhood per se, but I consider anything less than 7 miles from my house my neighborhood. If you lived in NKY, trust me, you would also want these drug havens torn down. These people are leaches and offer nothing to the betterment of our community. I grew up here and it's sad what has transpired over the last 10 years or so in NKY. These people need to go! While the demolition crew is at it, they can also go raze the motel near the mall and Quaker Steak & Lube. That place is filled with sex offenders and druggies as well.

Trust me their not just limited to Northern Kentucky. Ashland has them also. They are pretty much all limited to motels and apartments along Winchester Avenue. It's definitely an eye sore, and the crime is rampant in those areas, but I would just assume keep them all to one area, and not have them scattered all through out the city.

Ahh Dream Street. Remember when it was built. It was quite the thing at the time.

Not only that, but the three adults had 2 babies in that room too. Thank god they are alright and thank god they hopefully will never see their mom and dad again and get a fresh start in foster care.

I've read this is the opposite and dealers would rather come into Newport and Covington to sell.

There are a ton of people on his facebook page mad the police killed him.

im guessing they knew him, it hasn't settled in yet, all they are seeing is someone they knew is now dead.

This is another level of stupidity. Coming on the heels of the Michael Brown case, you would be shocked at how many people believe deadly force for a cop is not an option. I guess he should have shot the gun out of his hand and cuffed him.
