I'm not seeing anything about babies in the room? I did see where there were babies in another room, but not associated with the people arrested.

The problem isn't the rap/thug culture, it isn't the corporations or Florence that allow these dens of prostitution, drugs and depravity to keep running, it isn't the drug dealers that force these people to use their drugs or the drugs that cause people to become addicted....the fact is, we have an entire generation of kids that - very simply - have little to zero parental involvment or guidance in their lives. They're not loved enough by the clowns that created them who are unable to teach them you a) respect yourself; b) respect authority; c) stay away from things that can kill you; and d) do your best to be a good person.

 

Heartbreaking....really, really, really heartbreaking. I wonder at what point this young man went from an innocent, child-like, sweet kid to who he turned into. And then I wonder what would have happened if his father - and then his mother - hugged him after his first mistake, told him he loved him, and then explained to him why he screwed up and how to make sure it doesn't happen again...and then, hugged him AGAIN and told him how much he loved him AGAIN and explained to him just how amazing he could be and his life could be if he chose to do the right things.

So it's okay to stay in our neighborhood? Wow, I'm slightly offended by this. NO one wants it in their neighborhood. I am sad Florence has turned the way it has. I'm sick of it honestly and wish something would be done. It also doesn't help that low income housing shut down in some surrounding areas to "improve" that area with shopping etc and pushed more low income housing to be started in Florence. It's a shame the way Florence was allowed to "grow".

The City of Florence needs to enforce to code. With how many police calls to this hotel, it qualifies as a nuisance. Do you remember when they made Dream Street one way to prevent all the cruising on Dream Street? Typical response, they lay it off on the businesses to solve the problem.

There are many reasons why young people think they can do this garbage. One is a lack of parental involvement, but you can't blame parents for everything a kid does wrong. I have seen great parents who have less than stellar kids. And I have seen less than stellar parents and up with great kids. And yes, one one the reason some of these kids end up like this kid on Florence is the culture. A thug culture is whatvis is, thugs who think they are invincible.

 

Thank God that the officer is going to be ok, but very sad that a 16 year old out himself into this position and isn't here anymore.
