December 4, 201411 yr So who operates these motels? Are there any inspection procedures? If I were to guess, it's owned by the Patel Family.....they own ever other motel, liquor store, gas station, & Subway in the Florence area.
December 4, 201411 yr From what I am hearing now, the officer is lucky to be alive. Any updates on his condition? So the kid took his own life? There are many reasons why young people think they can do this garbage. One is a lack of parental involvement, but you can't blame parents for everything a kid does wrong. I have seen great parents who have less than stellar kids. And I have seen less than stellar parents and up with great kids. And yes, one one the reason some of these kids end up like this kid on Florence is the culture. A thug culture is whatvis is, thugs who think they are invincible. Thank God that the officer is going to be ok, but very sad that a 16 year old out himself into this position and isn't here anymore. Looked fine to me when I talked with him yesterday, he lives on my route.
December 5, 201411 yr They interviewed the kids dad on the news today. He didn't see the kid or talk to him in months. Almost sounded like he was mad at the mother.
