Thankfully the officer will be fine.

 

BUT, the mindset of one area, a street, or hotel, as being a "bad area" for drugs such as meth or heroin, is dead wrong!

 

These days it's everywhere! As I mentioned a while back ago, I was at the NKY Hates Heroin'd first seminar last October which was at Beechwood HS. Even after the speakers, which included Police, local drug agencies, state police, and doctors, stating that heroin isn't just what intercity people use, as well as not to think of other drugs that way either. As it's EVERYWHERE!

 

Even after being told this, then Q and A where people wrote down their questions, people who either don't pay attention or in denial still asked questioned such as: are people coming " in here"to the FT Wright Days Inn, Travel Lodge like they did the old Holiday inn (]what ever name it went by)? How much of a problem is the trailer park and apartment buildings playing? REALLY? As I said either not paying attention or in denial, I'll also as stupid!

 

After these people even heard the experts say it's not just intercity people, and that their neighbors or kids could be using too, they seemed to ignore that and had a "not in my neighborhood" attitude, like there area is too good and no one in their area would ever do that stuff. I got need for you, it's everywhere! Not just the old hotel in Ft Mitchell that isn't there anymore, or Dream Street, or trailer parks. If parents keep this attitude, their kid will be the next victim.

I cannot imagine having someone shoot at me.

Glad the officer is ok! Florence is almost a part of Cincy now.

Huh? I work in Cincy every day and they are not a like. Florence is not an middle to upper middle class like in the past but nothing like Cincy.

Well, I will speak from experience, my brother and his so called buddies are all heroin addicts and this hotel is a major place of activity. One reason it gets concentrated in spots like this is that rooms are cheap and are used for prostitution they will also sleep about 10-12 in a room. This is also where the hard core long time addicts hang out. The new users are still at home and keeping things hidden for now,but as they go down the path they will exhaust all their resources, most likely spend time in jail, and their family has had enough before they start staying in these "bad areas ." This doesn't mean it isn't everywhere else but it is highly concentrated in this area.

So what happens to an officer immediately after being involved in a kill situation? Just wondering.

Yes, right between Motel 6 and the old Knights Inn, both of which are places you need to be real careful at.

Dang gone bad typing skills, I was trying to say Florence is not upper middle- middle class and Florence is nowhere near as bad as Cincy.
