UK needs this one. Not only because it's U of L but because of the extra practices a bowl would give them.

I'm with Coach Buckett. I think this game will be tight. Bonnafen just isn't there yet, Towles is. I do think that UofL will have Kelsey or someone spy on Towles, and that this game will be a low-scoring affair in the first half. Second half, I can see the UofL run game start to impose a bit, and Cards win in 4th quarter, somewhere in neighborhood of 24-17. Gerald Christian will have a big game.

I think UK will need a score by the Defense or Special Teams to stay in it.

I don't see why UK fans are scared of Louisville. They are a good team, but UK has played better teams than them this year. UK is struggling and not there yet, but with two weeks to prepare, bowl eligibility on the line, end of the season rivalry game which are always weird, I think they have a shot.

 

I didn't pick the Louisville national championship team to beat Cal's worst team in basketball, and I'm not picking the Cards here.

The margin depends on if UK really wants to extend season or if it has packed it up for 2014. If the former - could be a good game. If the later - it could get ugly.

They looked equal or better earlier in the season, not so much now. Win or lose they have still exceeded my expectations though.

If I was a UK fan and UK coaching staff had 2 weeks to get prepared and they didnt come out and make this a 3 point game I would be very disapointed. Especailly since UL has had an emotional week at ND.

 

IMO UK has to come out and play lights out anything else would be unacceptable to me.

If Petrino doesn't fall into the trap of trying to "reward" Parker on SR Day and stretch Bonnafon too far too early, UofL should put this away in a low scoring, short game. Run the ball with Radcliffe, Dyer and Brown. Line up under center 80% of the snaps. When in shotgun, run Bonnafon read option 50% of the time. Throw the ball only when necessary to keep the UK defense honest when they start stacking the box. Insist that Bonnafon throw only into wide open positions and throw the ball away when those wide open positions are not there. Don't allow turnovers to keep UK in the game and give them any momentum.

 

Also, continue to keep Quick off the punt return team. Fair catch the ball when in doubt and secure possession.

 

Agree to spy Towles to keep him from breaking things open with his legs.
