I love that you're already setting yourself up to criticize UK fans regardless of what happens.

 

1) UK fans expect to lose: "UK will always be terrible! The fans accept mediocrity!"

2) UK fans expect to win: "UK fans are delusional!"

3) UK loses, fans aren't upset: see line 1

4) UK loses, fans ARE upset: see line 2

5) UK wins, fans are excited: "You guys are acting like you wont the super bowl."

6) UK wins, fans aren't excited: "UK will always be a basketball school!"

 

There is pressure to win every game, but nobody should come close to expecting a UK win.

 

If UK pulls off the miracle, on the road, against their #1 rival who is ranked in the top 25, to stop a 5 game losing streak, triple their win total from each of the last two years, and become bowl eligible for the first time since 2010, well.... yeah, we'll be excited about that.

 

I would criticize UK fans regardless of what "set up" you think I used, if I felt like it... I don't need to set that up, you guys are pretty good at doing that yourselves.

They are going to say there isn't any pressure to win, and then if UK pulls off the upset, they'll talk about it like it's the Super Bowl.

I think this game is a lot closer than everyone thinks. Just because the Cats have has 2 weeks to get ready.

 

Question for Cat fans - What are your thoughts if your team comes off two weeks of preparing for a game that means so much. There is a lot of pressure on your team to win.

 

My thoughts are that they are coming off two weeks to prepare. That said Louisville is a much better team, it shouldnt be close either way.

It was mentioned in one of the state papers after joker was fired and Petrino was available. It may not have been Bobby that was quoted, it may have been a family member of his.That was a couple years ago, I'm not going to look it up, but I remember reading it.

 

For number two, I believe Petrino never liked Kentucky. But he needed a job and wasn't getting many offers. IMO, he threw his name in the hat for the UK job and wasn't looked at. Hence why I believe he hates UK with a passion now. Time will tell. If he sticks around at ul and stoops does at UK, I expect it to be a great rivalry.
