I'd been looking for verification on whether or not Clay Dalton had been hired as head coach at Jackson County, and today I noticed that two weeks ago Jackson County posted on the KSHAA's Job Opportunities page for assistant coaches, noting to "Contact Coach Clay Dalton" with applications. I think that's as good as we'll get for a verification for the time being.

Caverna doesn't have their opening listed on their school district's site (not sure if they ever did), but it's still listed on the KHSAA's Job Opportunities page, so I'm assuming it's still open. Eminence doesn't have their opening listed on their school district's site or on the KHSAA's site, but again, not sure if they ever did. Anyone have any good info on Caverna's or Eminence's head coach searches?

CWB...

My man, I've been looking for something official on Caverna for the past few days. I know they interviewed two weeks ago and a decision was made last Tuesday/Wednesday (or should I say, an offer was made), but I've had no luck either.

I know that doesn't help much with specifics, but things are warmer. The Glasgow Daily Timeswill probably be the one to officially break the news w/ any kind of press release.

Is Newport open?

It's not official yet...but it certainly would seem to be likely.

Coach was arrested on public intoxication, marijuana possession, and resisting arrest charges last week. There's a thread on it in the Controversial Issues forum.

Still waiting on official word out of Newport as to whether or not Coach Schmitz is a goner. In the meantime, the Eminence job has been filled.

Thanks for all the work you've put in CWB.

Caverna has hired coach Kenny Davidson. There are currently no open head coaching jobs listed on the KHSAA's Open Jobs page. Still waiting for word on whether or not Newport will come open. They don't have the job listed on their Job Listings page at current.
