East Ridge has indeed rehired Brad Allen.

I hope he sticks around for a while. That program has had almost no continuity in its 13 year history.

Warren East does not have tons of speed. BC could play with both those teams imo. Warren East lost most everything. The sophomore you mentioned earlier has transferred to another school....

That does not appear to be the case if you go to East's Spring Practices....

...and the two times East and BC did play East handled them with relative ease winning 24-13 in 2011 and 35-6 in 2012. East is always going to have some real speed nowadays due to shifts in housing in the BG area. Also, it should be noted that East is about to begin the same renovations that Central is getting, which means a new field house, new stadium, and new turf field. How about for now we say East and BC are a push?

Bullitt Central as well as the other Bullitt schools have some school renovations going on right now, but those don't include new fields and/or athletic complexes. BC has worst facilities in comparison to the other Bullitts.

If and when those improvements are made that would be nice. I just don't think East currently has alot of speed. They were loaded in '11-'12. I'm sure it will trend upward again. Not knocking them just think BC could play with them.

Bullitt Central is the job I would put on the list and above many that you had ahead of Waggener. They have good support and solid players in a very winnable district for them.

Are we talking about the same Bullitt Central that doesn't have a Principal because no one will apply for the job, AD just left to take Southern job, and their new head coach applied/looked into the North Bullitt job right after accepting the BC job? And as a whole a school district where the super will spend no money on athletics, thus why BC has no practice field and all 3 high schools cannot host a track meet because the tracks are safety hazards. And finally, no middle school football in Bullitt County, so 120 lb ball carriers and everyone who makes Bullitt County all-stars should start on Fridays as true freshmen (if you ask the parents). I would not call that support . . .

But that is just me.

BC is indeed in trouble, no principal, no AD in place. But BC's new head coach did not try jumping ship. North principal reached out to him and he declined the offer because it would look poorly on him.

I know both guys. They mutually agreed it was a "publicity quagmire" to even mention the idea as they phrased it.

The newly open Fort Campbell job brings us to 51 schools in the state with changes in their head coaching for the 2015 football season. Does anyone have a count on how many KHSAA football programs there a're total in the state? I'm not at a computer right now, but I'd be interested to see what percentage of the total has turned over this season.

I believe it's something 220-ish. 51 out of that is a pretty good portion of jobs. And I'm sure one or two more might come open to fill some currently open jobs.

I'd love to know what the numbers over the last several years were.

I listed somewhere amongst the masses of these pages the jobs per class that haven't had any change over the last 5 years or so. I think since 09-10. Missed a few, but average over that time was right at 40 (39 and some change to be exact). This offseason I'd say brought it to the 40 mark since then.

221 if your counting. 51 would be 23%.

For a quarter of the jobs in this state to have come open at some point in time is a little crazy, to me at least. And the fact that there could easily be one or two more come open to fill a currently open job this late, is baffling to me. I feel like that's a hard road to travel, especially if things change drastically for the kids.

Can somebody post the run down in total of new head coaches/jobs in the last five years. Seems like were averaging close to 40+ a year.

Again I have said it a few times and will say it again. You have admin who absolutely know anything about sports and see these D1 coaches getting fired and think this is the thing to do. The admin need to be held responsible for it.
