A tip of the cap to the Cards and Cards fans. I truly thought you'd win up until the failed 4th Down conversion. Only then did I relax. A disappointing result I know but I was thoroughly impressed with the Cards. With Dyer and Parker playing like that there will be much better days ahead.

If only everyone had as much class as you DF... You and PP make this one sting a little less. :thumb:

Didn't see a lot of the game. Sounds like UL showed they are legit.

As flawed as Winston is and as much as Jimbo disappoints me when it comes to discipline you have to give the Noles full credit. They win.

Seems like smooth sailing for the 'Noles until possibly the Conference Championship.

Agreed. Miami seems to be the only chance for a hiccup, but even that is a slim chance.

That 3rd and 2 and 4th and 2 play call was a head scratcher.

I wasn't watching every play intensely as I was working on other things with the game on. However, it looked to me like the big mistake UL made was giving up on the run. They were gashing FSU in the first half and they seemed to just lose focus on the run in the second half. And with a lead you would think they would do everything they could to run the ball and run the clock.

That Cook kid (#4) for FSU ... that is some incredible wheels. He was reminding me of how Chris Johnson looked early in his NFL career - just blowing past people.

UL's second half defense, they just lost discipline, composure and focus. There were FSU guys making big plays all alone in the ballroom. There were no UL defenders even in the picture on some of those plays.

Very slim; even if this is a big rivalry, a Miami win would be an enormous upset.

Defense was bad and play calling was just as bad in the 2nd half. Can't give up 35 in a half and win.

Oh well. Could have been worse.

FSU was the first good offense they have played.

Don't know if I'd say good; more like really good.

I can agree with that. However my point was that UL's defense didn't play bad, they just finally played against a team that has a good, or as you say, really good offense.

It was certainly the first reigning national champion offense with a Heisman trophy winner at the helm they've played all year.

In the second half a nemesis from early in the season returned: offense does nothing after being pinned deep. Lousy punt starts opposing offense at midfield. Defense can only do so much.

Needed to have a lot of things break right to win that game. In the first half, they did. That garbage touchdown where Louisville softened up and FSU scored their first seven points of the game with 30 seconds to go in the half was problematic, as was not scoring after the 71-yard pass play to start the game. Louisville probably ought to have been up 28-0 at the half given all the things that broke Louisville's way. They weren't and so when the champs showed up after the break, 14 points was all they had to overcome.

Disappointing. Again. Had the lead with six minutes left; same as with the Virginia and Clemson games. They just can't hold on.

I want someone who knows football better than I do to explain what happened with the FSU offense and Louisville defense in the second half. Following the break there was wide open space in the flat on every play. Ten or twelve yards anytime Jameis wanted it; just had to pass to the RB or that O'Leary guy.

Did something change after the break or did FSU finally start capitalizing on something they saw developing?

It was. Like I said it was also the first good offense they have played all year period.

They play cupcakes man. Don't try to defend it.

Just pointing out how the rankings are and how they can be twisted to say whatever you want. :D

Oklahoma State is usually an above average team.

Clemson is usually an above average team.

Notre Dame is usually an above average team and currently a top 10 team.

Louisville is a top 25 team and recently has been an above average team.

I'm not defending. I'm just saying that if an SEC team had this resume..........
