Following the break there was wide open space in the flat on every play. Ten or twelve yards anytime Jameis wanted it; just had to pass to the RB or that O'Leary guy. Did something change after the break or did FSU finally start capitalizing on something they saw developing? FSU has been a second half team all season. I can't answer your question specifically but this has been this FSU team's M.O. all season.
October 31, 201411 yr It was certainly the first reigning national champion offense with a Heisman trophy winner at the helm they've played all year. In the second half a nemesis from early in the season returned: offense does nothing after being pinned deep. Lousy punt starts opposing offense at midfield. Defense can only do so much. * * * * Needed to have a lot of things break right to win that game. In the first half, they did. That garbage touchdown where Louisville softened up and FSU scored their first seven points of the game with 30 seconds to go in the half was problematic, as was not scoring after the 71-yard pass play to start the game. Louisville probably ought to have been up 28-0 at the half given all the things that broke Louisville's way. They weren't and so when the champs showed up after the break, 14 points was all they had to overcome. Disappointing. Again. Had the lead with six minutes left; same as with the Virginia and Clemson games. They just can't hold on. Louisville should have won this game. The coaching staff let them down with 6 minutes to go IMO.

Florida State Message Board Was NOT Happy While Team Was Down 21 to Louisville | The Big Lead Message boards exposes fans who love to be a part of the good times and fans who watch the games and understand what they see. FSU has done this damn near every game they have been in this season. NC State, Clemson, Notre Dame.....this team deals with adversity very well. I don't think they are national championship caliber but if they won it I wouldn't be surprised. They just keep winning. Same old...same old.

They want to know what Jameis was screaming in the student union. I'm not sure what they saw but they found something and exposed it. This coaching staff is proving to be very adept at finding tendencies at halftime and adjusting. FSU always looks like crap in the first half. Same old...same old.

Louisville also went from man to zone in 2nd half. Playing 2 high safety, no one was carrying RB out of backfield, which allowed him free. Great call by JF to take a shot deep to TE (after throwing RB flat 4 straight times) Louisville went 1 safety, the te basically ran a vertical Rte. The corner and safety jumped the RB flat route, leaving deep ball to TE wilde open. It should of been caught for a huge gain. Same play happen on long pass to make 24 14, rb went flat rte, both cb and safety jumped it, Wr #15 Rudolph, wide open for 6.
October 31, 201411 yr FSU 25 straight wins! Every team tries to knock them off but they dig deep and find a way to win. This is like the 5th time my son has went to bed mad that FSU was losing and then wake up to see that they won the game. They need to put them back at #1 now. Tired of the overrated SEC!

October 31, 201411 yr Great effort by the Cardinals. I honestly thought they were going to win last night. I'm tired of Kentucky schools losing to Florida schools.
October 31, 201411 yr The first half was awesome, the second half was embarrassing. The Louisville defense, the much vaunted Louisville defense was a joke last night. They couldn't tackle and looked worse than a pee wee team trying to tackle. One TD FSU had it looked as if the Louisville players were playing hide and seek, whenever the ball carrier got near any of them they ran like heck to get away from him. They were horrible last night.
