As a fsu fan living in ky it's tough all the time. Having been to many games both fsu and other. I can honestly say I've never encountered any fan base as a whole like UL. Again, I know it's not everyone but unfortunately like everything else a few ruin it for all. My first game to PJ for a game, and i have a new hate for louisville. Sorry to the louisville fans on here who are class ones. Getslow, I heard that type of stuff all night, from both white and black UL fans at every fsu fan. Before and after the game. Again, I know it doesn't represent the entire fan base but wow....class is not the word I'd use for Louisville fans. Sorry guys.

I think you may be exaggerating a bit, but I'm sorry you had such a bad experience.

I get it. Happens a lot of places. I'll never go back to Commonwealth again after the one time I was there. Most people are fine but some of the bad apples are REALLY bad apples.

Indiana and are the worst I've ever encountered by far. Every fan base has idiots though.

Louisville may have been beaten by those two, but have proven something to a lot of the doubters...

 

So, I was afraid to post something similar, for fear of getting ripped for being satisfied with "moral victories" and such. But Louisville football, in the move to the ACC, made a SIGNIFICANT leap in the quality of opponent. I feel like a realistic UL fan can acknowledge that we don't have quite the talent across the board, top to bottom as many of our new opponents. And as hard as they play, and sometimes even as smart as they play, we'll take lumps until we can develop that depth. But I do think that outside of a few bonehead, head scratching plays each game, Louisville has presented a team on the cusp. And I think it will pay off in the recruiting, especially offensively. Who can't admit that last night's offense was exciting, especially in the first half. I think that there might be some serious positive impact in recruiting when players see how close we are, and they realize just how real an opportunity to play fairly quickly is at Louisville.

Every time I've been to PJCS, I've had a great time. Even in 2010, when USF beat the Cards, we had no problem with the locals.

I thought the Cards represented extremely well. Louisville fans should definitely take pride in the way their team played.

They did and I believe that the majority of its fan base does. Between all of the changes that have taken place between coaching and players, things aren't bad. They are doing better than I expected.

Unfortunately TD I'm not, but wish that were the case. It was bad, so bad that even a few of the UL fans were making comments and saying sorry to other FSU for the issues and comments made. Luckily I was with my wife and daughter or I'd probably been right in the middle of it. Again, the UL fans I know personally, and the ones I see post on here, are fine. They are classy fans who aren't in this % of fan base. So, I understand its the UL fan base a entire.

 

 

All this being said I am glad UL has moved to the ACC. They will make the conference that much better, not that I am RAH RAH conference guy but it helps FSU. UL for Maryland trade, YES!

Won't lie though, the loss to Virginia had me more worried and skeptical. Overall, things have improved since.

I think our offense is basically decent, but incomplete. We have a lot of learning to do, and some recruiting needs. But although it's been frustrating, I know my frustration (if being honest with myself) comes from having set expectations for them that were unrealistic. Given what we have, I think at times they OVER perform. And other times, under perform. All teams have their stars, like we have Parker. But, I think the difference is that the quality of our unsung heroes are not quite the same. I also think Charlie left us a GREAT defense, but let's face it a good offense, not great. Defense was his focus. Not a knock at all, had he stayed, it could have worked for us. Now we have Bobby P who is known as an offensive genius (arguably). I think the staff will continue to recruit D well, and that the offense will improve as the pieces that fit Bobby P's puzzle are brought in.
