The Scariest Movie You've Ever Seen

Featured Replies

Blair Witch

If you saw it early, before the leaks, it was definitely unsettling.

One of the better ruses, with "Sidd Finch", of the last 30 years.

On my short list:

Se7en, The Exorcist, Silence of the Lambs, Jaws, The Omen.

And the one that shook me up as a kid - Black Sabbath.

Excellent choice.

When a Stranger Calls.

"Have you checked the children?" OMG!

Carrie...hand out of ground at the end of the movie after pretty music...totally unprepared...totally freaked out.

Watching an episode of "The Outer Limits" as a kid with my parents. An astronaut was coming back from space & it was obvious that he was coming back transformed into something grotesque. I literally jumped over the back of our sofa and hid.

To this day I still don't know the conclusion to that episode!

LOVED The Outer Limits and The Twilight Zone.

Jaws did a number on me as a kid. Still not real comfortable with being out in the ocean.

Beastmaster. Really random but those bat looking things that dissected the boy scared the crap out of me. They wind up coming to help in the end but man I had nightmares of that one for a long time.

I saw Jaws in the theater when I was 7. Scared me so bad I stopped taking baths. Showers only from that day forward. That's the sound logic of a 7 year old. Shark might get me in the bathtub.

Sounds like "The Astronaut's Wife" with Johnny Depp and Charlize Theron.

The Exorcist, The Entity, Saw, Insidious, and the Conjuring.

The Exorcist. That's the one and only that really scared/scares me.

Same here. That movie freaked 10 year old me out big time...

Also liked One Step Beyond. Had eerie music to it.

I was home alone one night as a kid and I watched The Amityville Horror. Bad decision.
