Be carefull because there other mayfield fans on this site will call you a hater if you express any opinion that mayfield is not as good as they have been over the last several years.

You are correct....Hater.

I truly admire both programs! If all of McCracken Co.'s kids had the same class and right attitude as the Cards and Tigers, they'd still be in the top 10 in 6A!

All jokes aside. I do believe you have to look at this team in relation to other teams that we have played this year that is the same schedule we played last year. If you look at it through that glass then were pretty good this year and as good as last year based on the same margins of victories this year over the same schedule as last year...everyone has the same chance to be better or worse and based on this year..were pretty good. As good as last year? That's all relative. We don't have all the same players as last year so you cant compare. I take every year as its own..don't look back..last years team isn't playing. Trust me...next year Caldwell will be lost...BUT relative to who they play next year they may be really good...take it a year at a time. I still like Mayfield in this one.

Mayfield in the upset. If that's what you want to call it.

Mayfield 34

Caldwell County 27

Mayfield 34-26.

Run defense is the most solid portion of this Mayfield team. Now, for the first time since early in the season, Mayfield will find itself facing a squad that can pass and do it effectively... much more so than McCracken. You only have to go back to last Friday night when the WR for RVille dropped passes in the end zone on both 3rd and 4th down. I just don't like the matchups with Caldwell's taller receiver. I hope they can prove me wrong. If they can pull this game out, I will feel good about this defense carrying them to another state championship.

I'll give you Caldwell, but I'd take why the Mustangs had to miss a game any day over other things....you must have missed the thread in controversial issues forum earlier in the season...

Halloween drama! 41-37 Caldwell

Lucy (Mayfield) pulls the football out from under Charlie Brown (Caldwell) at the last minute...

I think this one favors Caldwell by around 2 scores. Friday night was a example of why. A tall athletic receiver or in this case receivers spells trouble. We should be able to run some on them but it will be hard to keep up with their offense. I expect us to really come after Sindelar but he is going to get his share of the points. If Dew can figure out a way to slow their offense down enough to get a W I think it will be a good indicator for state title hopes and this is a great test for the Bw offense. Rocket you crack me up

I think it will be a great game, Murray really came after Sindelar blitzing nearly every play, sometimes the blitzing looked like it helped him find his receivers better. Caldwell was in a position to score more points but Murray held them a few times near the goal line. Traditionally it has been really tough to go to Mayfield and win for the tigers and it won't be easy friday night, also I think Mayfield wins the state championship in class a.

This will be a great game! Should see a lot of heart out of both of these teams. I'm going with Caldwell 35 Mayfield 28. I know it will be tough for Caldwell to travel to Mayfield and beat them but I think Caldwell has the ability to put the points on the board and the defense will come up with a couple big stops. Caldwell's defense has gotten a lot better over the last few weeks, they are a lot better than most people are giving them credit for. If anything loses them the game, it will probably be their special teams. Caldwell's special teams gave up some big punt returns against Murray.

Sounds like the D and the Special teams have leaned on the offense all year at Caldwell. All the pressure is on Caldwell to win this game..preserve the 10-0 regular season, playing away from home, huge crowd, starters having to play an entire game maybe for the second time all year and fairly a weak schedule before Mayfield and the best defense Caldwell will have seen all year.....could be a special night for the Cards.:greyalien:
