Going to Beechwood? Fink has been a Beechwood for a few years. Evrett's have been at Beechwood a long time. Way before high school. Who else is from Conner, or anywhere in Boone County?

Hermes I know is at BW.

As I expected this is much ado about nothing. Kid and his dad know he is in the plans and is expected to be a key contributor over the next 3 seasons.

Picking a school for sports over education is the real sad part. I call that awful parenting!!

Not that simple. Beechwood is one of the top academic schools in the state. Whether they are transferring for sports is one thing, but you can't argue they are not going to get a good education at BW. Sometimes transferring for sports is the right thing. Some kids get lost when ed.they don't make the team. (Not the case here). Transferring to a school where they can play keeps the kids interested and motivated.

That is true and well said but we all know many times its only to put a kid onto what they believe is a better team

Don't know particulars but this is a universal scenario.

Why don't parents allow their children to work hard and persevere? Nothing wrong with a parent helping their child set goals and accomplishing them. That's all a part of maturing into an adult.

Not everyone is willing to quit a job for a lateral position elsewhere.

Sometimes a player is better off leaving. Sometimes the player just needs to have some patience. Prove it on the practice field and show your worth

If a parent is so vocal or kid is so unhappy, best for them to go. Let the coaches coach.

Hard to believe anyone would send their kid to a school just to play a sport. This happens all the time. At the end of the day of the kid is good he will play. Coaches want to win!! I can't see putting the house up for sale just to play a sport. Unfortunately I have seen this happen more than a few times.

If you want out, go to the AD/Coach and state your case before you call the real estate agent. Stop being soft and man up.

So is Conner. At Conner a student can earn up to 62 hours of college credit through AP and dual enrollment classes before they graduate. All of this without taking a single class outside of school hours. Because of the large enrollment/faculty, Conner has more AP classes to offer as well. The academic argument doesn't hold up.
