The only definite loss is Mississippi State, they will not beat them even at home. LSU and Georgia are likely losses. Tennessee owns UK, so I think it is a stretch they win. Toss up with Mizzou and the Cards.

LSU very winnable game. They are just not very good and have suspect QB play. The LSU game is very winnable along with Missouri and Tenn. Georgia is not great at QB either. The entire conference is lacking a top flight QB. As long as the QB play is this suspect all around the league, UK can win any of the games left on their schedule, sans Miss St.

Uk's issue imo isn't defending the pass, its defending the run.

Im pumped about this team but at this point I just want to make sure we get to the bowl game and get that extra month. Winning on the road in college football is a tall order, and winning on the road in the SEC even taller.

Here it goes .....this was what I was talking about on another thread. An SEC win vs. a bad Vandy. A True Upset vs, South Carolina, again at home and U.K. is in the SEC Championship. Georgia is very, very good with imo the best player in the SEC in Gurle at rb., Mizzou has more than proven that they can play, Tennessee seems to be getting better all the time.

My opinion is U.K. wins this week and after that will maybe get another upset in one of the remaining games to get to a bowl.

So, a simple one word answer to the question / title of this thread .....No.

I'd have bought this more if we had pulled out the Florida game. Gonna be honest, I really don't think it'd be good for recruiting to get ran off the field in the SEC title game for the whole world to see.

 

Kentucky being in the SEC title game would be crazy. I'm not saying it is going to happen, or that there's even a remote chance that it will happen...but if it did...I'd take the possibility of getting smoked just to be there.

Man, we might as well pack up the rest of the season. Lift weights, condition, and work on the play book. The article is not claiming UK to be some Juggernaut that rose from dust. It simply states that given the performance, or lack thereof, in the SEC east this division of the conference is VERY winnable. Tennessee is awful, scored 9 pts at home against a pretty bad UF team. We already beat Vandy so that is irrelevant. Huge come from behind win against SC may have not played out how we would have liked, but it was a win. Mizzou and LSU are wild cards to me.

 

LSU has fallen off and that game seems winnable with the mojo UK has going for itself. This team is fearless and playing with confidence. Mizzou has a bad loss at home, I'm not buying what they are selling just yet. Miss St. is a loss but that seems irrelevant as well for this debate.

 

Finally, UGA, ohhhh UGA. Gurley is a human ice truck with a v-8 twin turbo engine. That will be a tough game. But I believe the last home game of the year and we are on the spot like that it could be something special. That could shape up to be a huge game given the potential circumstances. Remember a desperate dog has to eat.

 

Not trying to jump all over you I just like the vibes and feel this team can do something special.

Was this topic actually intended for the College Basketball section? I'd love to see the Cats in the football game but I think it is wishful thinking.

I agree. It's not likely to happen, but if they could make the SEC title game there would be no shame in getting blown out by the SEC West rep. This team was 2-10 a year ago. A title game appearance would be one of the best coaching turnarounds in years.

 

I'm also a Notre Dame fan, and as much as it stunk to get blown out by Bama in the Championship game, I glad they made it. I would rather play and lose than not make it at all.

His head may have already exploded imo, haven't heard much from him the past couple of days. I figured he'd be all over Tubbman.

 

I said my peace the other day. Fascinating how in the days after that, all kinds of UK fans got in those threads and basically said the exact same things I was saying, and it didn't ruffle anybody's feathers, proving my point about it not being about what I was saying, but about who was saying it.

For the record I can think 7-5 is gonna happen.

 

I agree and think 7-5 should get Stoops SEC Coach of the Year consideration.

I think 7-5 should get him national coach of the year. And it's completely realistic that they could get there.
