Remember she was their 3rd choice after Ashley Judd and Heather French Henry turned them down. Apparently the Dems preferred eye candy to substance.

As I said many I know have told me that they are not voting for Alison, but against Mitch, and they will hope a good republican comes up. Heck, I'd vote for my friend MNT Ref before Mitch. But seriously, has anyone on this site ever considered to go into a high political office? I'm being serious, I think the right side of the aisle would have some good candidates from BGP. Some that I would even vote for, as I don't vote party lines. These are wishful thinking. "a vote for her is a vote for Obama" isn't what they want to hear as they know he isn't running. Make no mistake, Obama is on the line in every vote this year. "He never talks on what he will do, or why you should vote for him." No different from ALG so that's a wash. "republicans I know , including tea party members, mostly say they are going to vote against Mitch, then spend the next 5 years grooming a candidate to run against Alison in 6 years, but they leave it open on who they will vote for in 6 years, depending on how she does." This is a tried and true tactic that never ceases to amuse me as it's trotted out every election. Isn't going to happen. There will be very very few republicans that will vote for ALG. They might stay home but they won't vote for her. With the senate control on the line my guess is it will be even fewer than normal when it comes time to pull the lever.

The top democrats in our state got caught flat out lying about ALG , right on video , right out in the open , and its very sad that even her supporters wont own it. They say in a democracy you get the govt you deserve . It answers the question of " how did our country get in the shape it's in " Well you vote for liars who will say one thing on the campaign trail but do the opposite once in office . And while the R party is guilty also, no one has perfected the process like liberal D's . Hide who you really are , act middle of the road , then support extremists like our current president. The entire thing is quite sad , people openly accepting being used and lied too , and the alternative is a guy who helped drive the car in the ditch, or over the cliff . Talk about lesser of two evils .

Gotta keep in mind the opposition. And it does indeed seem like most elections these days boil down to "the lesser of two evils".
