You are a relative of a candidate that you blasted because you weren't going to get a job in her campaign, then you got the job and all was hunky-dory. That's all I need to know.

 

Rest assured that between now and the election I will continue commenting on ALG, I will continue calling her a rubber stamp for the Obama/Reid agenda, I will continue to point out that she was the third choice of the Democratic machine and I will continue to point out that she has no positions of her own other then she's not Mitch McConnell. And I will also continue to point out your relationship with Grimes and the Grimes campaign.

 

And finally if she truly wants to distance herself from Obama then she needs to clearly state if she did or didn't support him in the last election and if she voted for him despite being against him that illustrates that she puts party above all and is an indication of how she will vote in teh Senate, therefore it's fair game now.

I disagree wholeheartedly. I believe ouour system of choosing our representation at any level works because one has the right to vote without fear of reprisal. I don't think the question should even have been asked, let alone that she has a duty to answer. Asking how she voted on issues is a different t animal and is a matter of publicense record. One does not give up the right to vote or not divulge who they voted for in any election simply because they are running for office.

 

And let's be honest...that question was going to be a catch-22 for her no matter how she answered, or if she didn't answer.

JMHO but I dont see ALG as intelligent enough to campaign effectively for a senate spot ., let alone be a decent senator . Maybe county judge exec , or mayor of a small town , but she doesnt have the gravitas to be a US senator . I'd like to hope she isnt as dense as she seems but she's a dud of a candidate .

They've got it so far in her head that she's not allowed to be associated with Obama in any way that they came up with this ridiculous thing. It would have been a 10-second issue if she's said something like this:

 

"Even though I disagree with the president in some areas such as A, B, and C, I believe that the Democratic platform on the whole and the president's plan are ultimately good for this country and good for Kentucky and that's why I picked him over John McCain and Mitt Romney, both of whom had serious flaws and platforms that were wrong for America and wrong for Kentucky, just like Mr. McConnell is wrong for America and wrong for Kentucky."

 

You have to have that canned answer ready to go because in a campaign that, for the Republicans, is largely about tying her to a locally unpopular president, she was BOUND to be asked that question a hundred times.

 

Instead, the KDP and a major Democratic candidate screwed it up again. I'm just waiting for next year's gubernatorial race so that the KDP and the inevitable candidacy of Jack Conway can produce another shining Aqua Buddha advertisement.

Nothing says "I'm a political hack and have nothing left in the tank to try and win this thing" like thinking it was a good idea to attack the sincerity of his opponent's religious beliefs. Absolute buffoonery. The KDP is consistent in its ability to be hugely disappointing.

It's important because he want's to inject himself into these discussions as the voice of reason when in fact he has a vested interest in a Grimes win. He was not so sure about that when she wasn't going to give him a job and as for issues the candidate herself has not addressed one issue other then she's not McConnell.

 

Again, he caused this by airing his family laundry on a public forum so it's fair game.
