No matter how good Grimes may do or would do, it's more important to stop the Dem hold on the Senate so the huge mess can be cleaned up left behind by Obama, Reid, and Pelosi.

We've got impasse now in Congress. If the GOP takes control of the Senate next year, we'll still have impasse.

Wrong, bills will be passed and Obama will have to either sign them or veto them and they will contain amendments to make it "ugly" if he vetos them. Harry Reid has been Obama's shield, keeping distasteful (to him) bills from crossing his desk.

 

It will also keep Obama from further stocking courts with radical libs.

I will not be voting for A G. Like I said before, lesser of the evils is Tommy Turtle.

I will tell you, that Alison is one of the most honest and caring people that I know! Don't believe everything you read, or hear. Think about it, a candidate, any candidate, who may be lying, why would they tell people that they are lying about something? 30 years of Mitch and his tactics, not to mention the horrible job he has done.

 

I know many republicans who are voting for get , and they all say the sane thin, it's not about Alison, it's about getting rid of Mitch. They say they will vote for her to get Mitch out! And they hope that the republican party would spend the next 5 years looking for and grooming a candidate to run against her. Which is my suggestion, vote for her and if you don't like what she is doing in 6 years, then vote her out.

 

We have too many politicians who are in office for far too long. People on here wonder why the people in Nevada keeps voting for Reid, other parts of the country wonder why we keep voting for Mitch. We all should worry about our own career Senator out of office, and hope other states do as well. It's beyond ridiculous the time that some people stay in office. I see where last week someone who is in DC was having health issues, hevea in his early 90's! Why in the world would you jerk voting for someone that old? No matter what good that they may have done, they deserve to retire! Anyone around that age deserves to retire and relax. Plus times have changed since they first took office.

 

And for obvious reasons this will be my last post in here , plus I can't afford to have my BP skyrocket like it was this morning. But that is just my opinion, this is not about Alison , it's about getting him out! Republicans should have voted for Bevins, just MO.

To be really fair shouldn't you disclose that at one time you were not going to support or vote for ALG because she wasn't going to give you a job in her campaign and that you made a couple of posts on here ranting about it?

After watching the video, what does it really say? It has a number of Grimes supporters SPECULATING, that she says she supports coal because she has to in this state. They are right that she has to say she supports coal, but it is just as true that if she is elected, she will have to continue to support coal. I can't tell you what she believes in her heart, anymore than I can tell you what Senator McConnell believes. I support coal, but I also believe that the coal industry in Kentucky is in for hard times, regardless of who wins this or any other election. The market is just not good for coal. You can blame President Obama because EPA has chosen to enforce the environmental laws passed by congress, but even without that enforcement, coal would be in trouble. I speculate that Senator McConnell knows that, but it doesn't stop him from running ads that blame all of coals problems on the President and EPA. It doesn't stop him from dodging climate questions with "I'm not a scientist".

Becoming of the senior persuasion myself these days, I don't buy into ditching a person because they have been in the job a long time. That reasoning is age discrimination in my mind. "So 6 pay increases in 30 years"....would any of us be satisfied with a pay increase every 5 years? If it is evident that the person is not performing, then point out their shortcomings, and I haven't seen anyone clearly do that. In fact, many would concede the seniority that Mitch has makes him a valuable commodity. The Democrats sure think so. ALG is probably a fine person, as possibly is BO. Neither are qualified for the offices they hold now or for the next one. They are simply "beauty contestant" props for a party that evidence would say is more than willing to put ethics and honesty aside to win an election. Am I in lock step with Mitch over all the issues? Of course not, but I don't see any better alternatives.
