September 16, 201412 yr Do you remember how influential Drew Barker was in helping to bring in other recruits, once he signed with Kentucky? If/when Damien Harris chooses to commit to UK, I could easily see his decision influencing other top recruits to join us, also. What do you think?
September 17, 201412 yr I'm of the belief that Harris is a Wildcat at some point. I'm starting to get that feeling. I'm a firm believer that the Cats can be a top 25 team when Patty Ice is a senior...shoot maybe even next year if that defense matures nicely over time and they fill in gaps at D-line as they most likely lose Zadarius and Dupree after this year. They show great promise with young talent at RB and WR. If Stoops and Brown sell to Damien that he can be featured with a high volume of touches, I like their chances.
September 17, 201412 yr Damien is a program changer in more ways than one. He will start a domino effect like Barker where other recruits will commit, but also he will be a huge part of the O day one.
September 17, 201412 yr I think he ultimately ends up in Lexington. Next year this team could be very good. A whole lot of very talented true Frosh & Soph's getting a ton of clock and experience this year. Next season's team could (and with a solid class, I think will) be a legit SEC team.

September 17, 201412 yr Wasn't so long ago that people here (especially one) said UK had ZERO chance of getting DH. I think UK is in great position to get him. Coach Stoops is doing an amazing job. He really has turned things around in Lex.

He really has turned things around in Lex. Very true. It wasn't that long ago the same was said about Drew Barker. Stoops is doing an amazing job thus far. I'm thoroughly impressed and I've been one of the biggest wait-and-see folks on here.

Just in previous years UK hasn't looked for, or sought out the D1 players. But, it looks like Stoops is fixing that wrong.

True but it seems like the last couple years have been better than average similar time frames if that makes sense. Let's be honest, years have gone by where KY did not have many D1ers and often they were not ones programs outside of the state gave much interest in. Then you look at states like Florida, Texas, Ohio, etc. just pumping out large numbers of D1's year after year.
September 17, 201412 yr I love that Stoops is recruiting Kentucky. I hope he keeps it up. Jeff Brohm at WKU is also recruiting Kentucky but with more players signed/committed. Maybe this will be a referendum on the quality and expanse of Ky. high school football.
