Ohio State should fire their Special Teams coach. They were awful as well. :)

Urban's QB recruiting has been horrible. Not surprised one bit with this result. The trend will continue if he doesn't change. Barrett is awful.

He was only sacked 7 times and hurried 15. Guess a bball school fan base doesn't get that though.

The offensive line wasn't throwing up those picks that could have been fair caught by the safety playing 40 yards off the line of scrimmage.

Worst offensive line I've ever seen at OSU. It's a lost season. 7 sacks and 11 tackles for loss. Tried to warn the few Buck fans on here that the line was a mess coming into the game.

:thumb: A long way to go.

Lol... Could he have been throwing it up because he was running for his life all second night? I mean he was only sacked 6 times in the 2nd half.

Most QBs know to throw it 2 rows deep instead of the guys wearing the other jersey.

To be fair, the calls shouldn't have been made to continue to throw it deep. In that situation, I would think a few screen passes would help move the ball.

Need to fix the act if we want to make the dance this year. :banghead:

You got a squirrel in your pocket???

I figured the Buckeyes were in for a challenge tonight. I agree that they have plenty to fix as others have stated. I also think it's fair to say that the Hokies are better than many anticipated. I was very impressed by Virginia Tech's defense.

The most shocking things to me that hurts Ohio State in this loss are the following:

1. The QB excuse is just that. VTech's QB was making debut tonight in the Horseshoe. He looked a world better, bad OLine play or not.

2 The Hokies lost some key OLine people and yet you saw their line take it to the Buckeyes.

3. Virginia Tech is in the ACC. To date that conference has not looked impressive thus far even against bad competition. (Except for L'ville) And here is a team not picked in the top of the ACC going to Columbus and controlling the game. Looks bad however you slice it.

Even if OSU still had their QB , they aren't very good. Their defense is pathetic.

Just a bad Big 10 this year

Interesting stuff from VA Tech. The rotational schedule means they avoid both Clemson and FSU in the regular season. The whole Coastal is intriguing and I've not got the Hokies' game at Duke on Nov. 15 circled as possibly being for the divisional crown.

Couldn't believe the way that fourth quarter unfolded as was very glad that it was late enough to catch it after coming home from the Louisville game. Two interceptions and I think six sacks in the fourth quarter for the Va Tech defense.

Back to scheduling cupcakes before the conference games. Phone is ringing at Akron, Ohio and Toledo!

Who recruited the OL? Are they Urban recruits or Tressel leftovers. Either way when you are OSU that should always be a strength given your base.

Mixture of both there simply replacing 4/5's of the line with 3 of those 4 in the NFL. The line has done a bad job no way to spin it.

Wait until next year when Miller is back with a more experienced team.

However, JT was getting blitzed like crazy and this is the second game he has started since he tore his ACL his senior year in 2012. He'll be alright.

I want Torrance Gibson though.
