I say no but I wasn't there. Kid caught the ball and either X didn't call a timeout fast enough after he was tackled or something.

 

I know the announcers were describing the play and next thing I know they were saying that time ran out on the Tigers and that we are headed to OT.

I wasn't there either and maybe they did, but they were inside the ten with 1st and goal twice and got nothing. Gotta get something there in a game like this. Can't leave things in refs hands when you have a chance not to.

Glad to hear that. Would be awful if that were the story and not two outstanding teams laying it on the line and playing their hearts out an what appears was a great game.

Just got home. Great game. Fans questioned if 1 second on clock at end of regulation. Too close for me to call. Ref said no time so that's that. The problem for x (blessing for Purples) was at end of half. X allowed maybe 20 seconds off clock before calling time out. Clock then forced them into another play. If they kick field goal they go up 3to 0. Would have been enough for win.

 

No words to describe how well line backer for BG played (McEntire). Had to be a record for number of tackles.

 

It was the shortest yard grind of a game I probably ever saw.

 

Fight after game was 4 or 5 kids. No adults. Not sure if any were from x or not. Unfortunate. Great game!

Incredible game!!! I told several St X fans, players, cheerleaders that nobody deserved to lose that one, and that the Tigers played a superb game. I meant it, and they saw it in my eyes! I think that St X fans are among the classiest fans in Kentucky and appreciate football at this level.

 

It was the 26th win in a row at the Hallowed Ground, a new school record that beat the 25 in a row from 1993 to 1996. It also tied Boyle Co for second in all wins in a row with 47. Owensboro at the Dungeon is next!

Sounds like both defenses were amazing, especially X with multiple 4th and short stops. But to come away with nothing inside the 10 twice is ridiculous. Sounds like the coaching hasn't gotten much better from last year, at least not as far as offense is concerned. Congrats to BG on continuing the impressive streak. Hopefully the tigers will have it together by the playoffs.
