You mean HHS shot themselves in the foot for 3 quarters with more false start penalties than I have seen in the past 3 years combined. Clean it up Birds!!!! I did like the way CCHS came out with some fire in the second half, good luck to Coach Lickert and the boys the rest of the way.

We didn't exactly do ourselves any favors in the first half with fumbles, a safety and pass interference calls to prolong HHS drives.

Lickert has never coached at Harrison.

As far as HHS calling off the dogs, CCHS simply outplayed HHS for three quaters.

I thought he was there for a year prior to coaching Dayton. Must have been thinking of someone else; my mistake.

Hasn't been determined, could be 2-3 weeks I overheard. His Dad was near me in the stands. Boxer fracture, wrist as well. I feel for the kid, he's a hard nosed player.

Really, 2-3 wks, and someone else said see a surgeon...for what????

Really got to make one wonder how doctors over analyse and baby this kids these days.

I know a kid very well that is playing Defense with a broken thumb right now and doesnt need surgery or sit out 2-3 wks...but then again he hasnt told the trainers or doctors about it so who knows what they would tell him, IDK, just dont get it anymore sorry:thumb:

CCHS defense was outstanding and played very physical and caused Highlands trouble...They were the difference in this game, certainly not their offense.

When was the last time Highlands only scored 23 points in a game? I would guess in the last 8 years, that has happened maybe a couple times.

Not too often. Last time was 2010 when they beat Johnson County 21-14. In 2009 it happened three times, in their 19-8 victory over Manual, their 21-0 victory over Withrow (OH), and their 12-7 victory over St. Xavier (OH). In 2008 they lost 18-33 loss to Colerain (OH). In 2007 they only scored 21 in a 21-13 victory over Central. 2006 they lost 18-21 to Elder (OH), 21-35 to St. Xavier (OH) and 15-25 to Covington Catholic.

He was at Woodford County prior to getting the job at Dayton.

I knew he was at one of the county schools a little away; thanks for the correction.

He was there as a linebackers coach while in grad school.

note to HHS--don't like the new uni colors---please get rid of the patch of yellow.

Where is the patch of yellow?

Congratulations to the Birds on their victory. I'm sure the Camels would have liked a couple of their timeouts back towards the end of the game. Defense for the Camels stepped up after the 1st quarter. Both teams were plagued with the yellow flag flu, Highlands had the most prolonged case, but the Camels penalties were quite big. It seemed Lickert was pretty upset over the Camels play in the 1st quarter, or more so, the lack there of. The County boys kept their heads and turned in a good showing. Go Camels

I hear ya but an extremity like a thumb is a little different than a wrist/Hand. I heard he will have to see a hand specialist. From the looks of #42 I think you will maybe see him out there wearing the big Club on that hand soon enough.

Got ya...

Looks like its next big man up then.

Birds will be fine with Johnnie "Big Country" Abner getting most of the reps then, he is certainly a clogger to say the least:thumb:

Wow! Great info there CWB. I love the fact you have all that info available to you that quick and you took the time to get it. Big props!

Hoge had 96 yards rushing on 12 carries. 15/23 passing 183 yards.

I don't look too far into the score. If this becomes a trend, there will be cause for concern.
