Checking out of this thread after one last comment.

 

The police in this country are becoming militant at a rate I'm simply not comfortable with. Things are going in the wrong direction, and it is frightening to watch unfold. Hopefully this disaster will be a wake up call, but sadly I fear it is only the beginning. Back to the college hoops forum only for me...

Or being exposed more? I'm indifferent to an extent........ I will give the benefit of the doubt to the guy that went through polygraph's, psychological examination and multiple interviews. But if that guy kills someone and disgraces that privilege of being an officer of the law. Then yes prosecute him to the fullest extent of the law. As long as everything adds up right I don't have a problem with that.

I'm not attacking any posters on this site. I'm just glad to see more posters waking up to what I've been posting on this site for over a year. Our police forces are turning into the military and it's scary.

 

There are a ton of great cops in this country and I have plenty I'm lucky enough to call friends . They don't make the decisions for tactics or arms . Leadership in the police force and politicians do. We the people need to make our voices heard.

I want to apologize to JD, HB and Rocket for including them in my rant, as it seemingly came off as I put them in the realm of the bad cops that I am beyond frustrated with. I didn't mean it to put you in that category, but you took it that way and I apologize.

 

My point was simply all involved need to do better, and right now that seems to be lost in the process. I'm out...

What are you doing to change the frightening trend? Are you quick to call out an officer that spews a racist remark when "the boys" are off duty?

 

Let me guess. You've never been in a situation where such things have ever been said between you and all the choir boys you work with.

 

There is a MAJOR problem in this country, and the GOOD COPS are the front line in changing what is becoming a terrible trend. If you are doing nothing, that 800,000 number starts to get small real quick...

 

Are you quick to talk about the players that UC shouldn't get because they have a history of violence, or DUI's or gun charges, or well anything?

 

Tell us what you're doing to change things GT? Hell tell me where I can sign up, we live close to each other, give me the opportunity to right this wrongs of these white officers. I'm not even kidding, I am hoping for a PM of where I can volunteer to hopefully help change things.

No worries. In my opinion the majority of police who are dirty is overwhelming the minority. You can't expect a beat cop in rural KY to be able stop all dirty cops. All that guy can do is make sure it's not happening where he works and if it does, do what's right.

 

There are bad cops, and bad agencies out there I'm sure. I guess luckily for me, every move is recorded. The only "bad cops" I know personally are bad cause they're lazy :lol2:

I'll try to be clear. Are you willing to help instigate change in a broken system? If an officer does something wrong are you going to call him out. If not, maybe I am challenging your character.

 

Considering it an "attack" says plenty...

 

I can't speak for HB but I've seen him say before that police actions appeared to looks wrong. Again until your in that moment it's hard to tell. This is why SOOOOOO many agencies are now wearing camera's. I think you'll see this policy go nation wide before long. I'm sure there is plenty of grant money out there for it.
