I agree. Just an all around Bush league move by Wainwright. I'm sure he was consulted by Carpenter.

Add in the fact their two pitchers likely cost the NL home field.

I'm not surprised. Was listening to JT the Brick on Fox Sports Radio on my way home from Bowling Green tonight and he pretty much guaranteed that Jeter would get two at bats and that in one of them would be served up a nice 85 mph fastball right down the pipe.

I don't need another reason.

Looks like they're gonna ask him about it during the game.

And this is exactly why an All Star game shouldn't determine home field advantage.

Jeter is good enough that he doesn't need someone "grooving" him a pitch. If I was one of his teammates I'd be pretty upset that he potentially cost the NL home field just to give Jeter a "moment".
