They sound similar to what Cooper had last year. WR corp was their strongest area and deepest. If I'm not mistaken they may have had something like 7 different players with TD receptions. If CCH QB play is decent those boys could be similar to what HHS and Cooper had last year and simply rotate WR's in and out. Was very effective. We all know how good Highlands was last year and Cooper although didn't go far in the post season, their passing game was by far their strongest part setting all school passing and recieving records last year with a very potent passing game. In their playoff game alone last year they had 4 different recievers with a TD before halftime alone.

Is it just me or does he seem like such a better WR than a DB? there were only 3 plays of him playing DB on the video and 1 of them he got burned realy bad when he bit on the play fake. He is a great receiver and I question why they would move him from WR to DB unless Highlands is really hurting at that position.

 

 

Highlands was considering using Jenson on both sides of the ball - mute point now that he will be attending Warren Central.

 

To answer the question about why any school would move him - he was being told by recruiters that his future in college is as a DB. He is just responding to what the recruiters are telling him.

You forgot to add the interception was against the backup QB in Spring Ball. Wonder why he didn't play any DB last year for a depleted secondary especially during some key games? He rotated at WR so he had to have some gas left for defense. Oh well! Love that UK fan is spending his time watching Highlands spring ball highlights.

 

IMO, he certainly could have helped on the other side of the ball. Exceptional high school athlete he would have been a significant addition to the depleted secondary.

Not hijacking at all. The point of the thread is to give props to the WR group.

 

With Wagner back at QB the wide receivers will be a big part of the CCH attack.

IMO, he certainly could have helped on the other side of the ball. Exceptional high school athlete he would have been a significant addition to the depleted secondary.

 

Jenson sure could have helped, especially as you say, when the secondary became depleted.

 

However, he would have been my 4th choice of the players on offense to move over and get some snaps on defense.

I don't believe so, I think Vennamen eeked out the win at State in the 100 over Erpenbeck.
