Is it not possible that they were struggling with who they really were? Fighting it, living a lie because they had a hard time coming to terms what their sexual attraction really is and living i fear of how they will be treated by family and friends?

The world is not black and white, there are shades of grey. There are many people who identify as bisexual in this world, I believe that is how they are born, attracted to both sexes.

I have some homosexual friends, and they get mad when people say they are "born homosexual", they claim they made the decision to be homosexual and scoff at the thought of being "born gay".

I actually lean toward Mitch's line of thinking. Not to put words in his mouth, but if he's saying that folks are "homosexually hardwired" but exercise choice in participating in homosexual behavior/acts; I'm inclined to agree. The choice is not being homosexual, but acting homosexual.

How about the guys in prison that turn, were they actually homosexual the entire time and didn't know it until they got to prison and were suddenly attracted to other men? Or is that more about opportunity and availability?

I agree, Clyde. Most genetic research has centered on diseases. Trying to make an analogy involving genetic research is like tip-toeing through a minefield for a politician.

 

I agree with Rick Perry on most positions and think that he has built a solid record as the governor of Texas, but he is too prone to making unforced rhetorical errors to be elected as a conservative Republican president, IMO.

I don't know that you could definitively say that, but it certainly seems as though it would increase the odds.
