Also good for families looking to move here, Mayfield offers its own set of independent schools in addition to Graves County Schools, which provides more education options for those looking to raise children here. Mayfield hosts a number of events each month to keep residents busy and involved in the community. One of if not the greatest places in KY to live We have it all here

June 6, 201412 yr What's really sad is that aside from the NKY cities mentioned, I know very little, next to nothing, or nothing at all about many of the cities on this list. As a so called "Kentuckian" that is just downright pathetic. Not only do I know where most every city on this list is, I have been in most of them multiple times for either work, softball, pleasure, friends live there, etc. There were only a couple I wasn't really familiar with, both being in NKY.

Like Jim said I could walk almost anywhere in Covington and feel safe. Two exception being city heights and Jacob price at night.

The Jacob Price Projects were torn down a few years ago and a new housing development project called "River's Edge at East Pointe" is far along now in it's construction. The area presently is still a bit dicey, and it's still to be seen how things will go when the "River's Edge" officially opens. It's not nearly as big an area, but it appears to be similar to the housing that has been placed in Cincinnati's West End in more recent years when they redeveloped that area after it had gotten way out of hand. It looks pretty nice, and I already feel much safer driving near it than I once did when driving by Jacob Price, which always felt like you were taking your life in your hands.
