We've been dealing with $3+ gas for over 10 years. It was still really new under Bush, and a real shock to the system. It's just not much of a surprise anymore. The only blip occurred in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina...then prices came back down. Prices have been well over $3.00 the whole time the current administration has been in office. True: the left-leaning press wrote continuously of the price of gasoline at that time; Mr. Obama addressed it in his campaign speeches in 2008. In the last five years: not a peep. If the Fourth Estate continues to let us down....

Only way gas goes down anytime soon is if we go into another deep recession. The price today is as cheap as we will ever see it, until 2030 when we cut oil dependence in half.
