How has Alex Barker been playing? He was a very good player in AAU ball, but I haven't had the chance to see him play in a couple of years.

barker does a good job running the team and playing relentless defense, he does not shoot the ball as much as does in aau, but he is still the "heart" of the team

Shooter, glad you made it home OK. Heard you had a little detour.

thanks, I will be there tomorrow night to see if Russell can "survive" the Blue Blazer PREDICTION, is that guy related to Kreskin or what?

I hate to see BC go out like that, especially to that team.

What's that supposed to mean? Fairview is a good team.

Thanks shooterx3 for the update on Barker.

Even if he believed Russell will win, he would never admit it. Tuesday night didn't help his feelings towards the Devils. I'm sure he's on the Tomcat bandwagon now.

WTG Eagles. Team has not been playing up to par last few games and what a way to turn it around. Fairview has all the talent to make a good run in the regionals. Just play good physical fundamental ball. Take it to the Tomcats.

i was there and can say owens shot the lions out of this game for the lions. I feel so bad for coach pratt; The lions had the lead late and owens took some unorthized shots that didn't go in to send the lions home.

This region is wide open

I called this one wrong. I knew it would be close, but got it backwards.

Congratulation to Fairview on the win.

Why feel bad for Coach Pratt? As the coach of the team, it is his responsibility to set the tone for the team. If a player is getting out of hand with his play, it is the coach who should step up and take control of the situation. I think if Pratt would have let Antonio sit on the bench for a minute and compose himself, we would have come up with a victory.

Funny you should say that cause all ive read on the Boyd threads when someone has said Owens was out of control and trouble all the Boyd posters come to his rescue saying that wasnt true. Now he leads his team to a loss in postseason its his fault hmmmmmmm. (And i dont have a dog in this fight).

Great game to watch even if it wasn't played particularly well. Both teams played extremely hard.Owens looked spectacular at times-but 34 shots.I felt Moore played extremely well. The Lions missed Selby.Next year Look for Blanton to have a big year.He was the forgotten man this year. For Fairview

Black played tough and Hutchinson/Holbrook hit some big shots.Barker did a good job running the team,Stewart was steady off the bench and Bayless played physical.Perhaps the biggest shot of the game was the 3 pointer Holbrook hit to put Fairview up 51-48.Should be a good game Friday night.

LIKE I SAID "Dont hate the playa..hate the game..." I have heard everything from BC by2 to BC by 16. It all depends on which team shows up....And I agree .....Cooksey is a joke. Spare me the agony..... :scared:

"Don't hate the coach, hate the game" Not too bad for a joke of a coach huh? Next time show some respect. Cooksey is a great coach and person. Congrats to the Eagles.

Congrats to Fairview

Cooksey's late game adjustments were superb!!!! When Boyd County stayed in the zone late in the fourth Cooksey made sure his team held the ball and wasted almost two minutes off the clock. Everybody was down on this team because they had lost thier last two games but I believe these kids were focused in on this game for the past two weeks.

Barker and Hutchinson did a great job on Owens but he failed to get the ball to the open man when he was double-tripled team. He is a outstanding player and I hate to see his high school career end on a sour note.

The Swami took the Eagles so we knew were going to win!!!! Only problem is the Swami has the Tomacats over the Eagles tomorrow night but that is not going to happen. This region is up for grabs with five or six teams with a legitimate shot to go to Lexington. Can not wait for next week.

Absolutely excellent post, LRCW.
