"Don't hate the coach, hate the game" Not too bad for a joke of a coach huh? Next time show some respect. Cooksey is a great coach and person. Congrats to the Eagles.

Rex has earned respect with this team and with the job he has done with kids for a very long time.

Great Post LRCW. Cooksey is a great coach and a good person. Coach of the year in the 16th. IMO. :thumb:

My first post and I'm absolutely giddy, and I'll suffice to say, I hope Rex runs up and down the sideline all the way to the regional title. And I hope that he advances past the 1st round of the State Tourney. I believe that the 14th is the opponent and if that is true, they very well could make the elite 8. Of course, there are other teams in the region who are more than capable of accomplishing the same feat. :thumb:

;) We need to remember if its BC, ASHLAND , RUSSELL or who ever, these are just kids who are playing their guts out to get a win. The Eagles and BC played their guts out last night. It just happen to fall Fairviews way last night. And as for the coachs both did everything they could to get their team a win.GOOD LUCK TO THE EAGLES.

You are correct and whose the favorite in the 1st? Graves Co.?Marshall Co.?

Either would be a tough 1st rd opponent.

Funny you should say that cause all ive read on the Boyd threads when someone has said Owens was out of control and trouble all the Boyd posters come to his rescue saying that wasnt true. Now he leads his team to a loss in postseason its his fault hmmmmmmm. (And i dont have a dog in this fight).

I'm not saying he was trouble, but there was a point in the game where Pratt needed to settle him down and get some confidence back. Antonio was always the leader on the team and we went as he went. But it is also easy for fans to coach from the bleachers too. I just would have liked to see Pratt step up and settle him down.

Yeah man, I heard it supposedly got pretty ugly after the game with fans booing Pratt and yelling mean things...they said Pratt had to be taken off the floor with security all around him...

Pratt is a fantastic guy and coach; so I don't understand why this happened, though...

It was some players parents that were whining because their kids weren't the all-stars this season. And people wonder why some of these kids have bad attitudes, all they have to do is look in the stands and see mommy and daddy and then they will know why. I think that there are some parents who need to step back and really take a long hard look at who is responsibe for their sons play and attitudes!

Well Said!!!

Why feel bad for Coach Pratt? As the coach of the team, it is his responsibility to set the tone for the team. If a player is getting out of hand with his play, it is the coach who should step up and take control of the situation. I think if Pratt would have let Antonio sit on the bench for a minute and compose himself, we would have come up with a victory.

I am saying i feel bad for coach pratt because some events that took place after the game or towards the end. very distateful :argue:

If this happened it is an absolute shame.Anyone who knows Coach Pratt realizes he is a class act.He is always humble in victory and complementary in defeat.
