I've said it all year long - Hutchinson for Fairview and Wilcox for Ashland are the two most underrated players in the 16th Region.

 

Congrats to King Rex and the Eagles. Huge win for the program, and they stay alive to go to Morehead. ANY team at Morehead can win it, so this was a great time to pull themselves back together.

 

How did Barker do, and does anyone have any other stats?

I have to say this...the game was fairly even called as far as from where I was, BUT I have NEVER seen SO MUCH crying come from one bench in my life!!!!! I thougt I saw the janitors putting out "SLIPPERY FLOOR" signs around Cooksey and Hall. Well, I guess it worked..... :argue:

The final was 54-50. This was a real back and forth game, Owens seemed to be frustrated most of the 2nd half. Hutchinson played well for Fairview.

This was an entertaining game to watch, and it turned out Fairview was a better team than Owens could beat by himself. Hutchinson gets my player of the game vote, there was one play late at the end of the game when it looked like Owens would pick up a loose ball and Hutchinson dove on it from about 10 feet away to give the ball to Fairview. He later went to the line and hit two key free throws when Fairview kept trying to keep Boyd County in it by missing the front end of the one and one. Bayless is another key player for Fairview you dont hear much about. Looks like there was some upset Boyd County Fans after the game and I dont understand why Billy Blanton never got more involved in the offense, he is a very good player.

Yeah man, I heard it supposedly got pretty ugly after the game with fans booing Pratt and yelling mean things...they said Pratt had to be taken off the floor with security all around him...

 

Pratt is a fantastic guy and coach; so I don't understand why this happened, though...

Congrats to the Eagles! This makes two of the power teams during the season (Morgan and Boyd) who went out on their home floor in the first round of District play. WOW! But this game isn't as much of an upset as the Morgan game. Should be a great final Friday! It will be interesting to see if Ashland has improved enough to beat Fairview this time around. AT41, do you want to go for another tattoo bet?????

Cooksey definitely was giving it to the refs especially in the first half. It was actually pretty hilarious to watch. :lol:

How has Alex Barker been playing? He was a very good player in AAU ball, but I haven't had the chance to see him play in a couple of years.
