April 28, 201412 yr When Dallas and Pitt were playin in the Super Bowl my mom was rooting for Terry Bradshaw and I guess I started rooting against her so I cheered for Dallas. Dallas lost and my mom was so happy and I cried like a baby (only time ever to cry, EVER) I have been a Dallas fan ever since. My favorite player is Danny White. I love Dallas and hate Jerry Jones, especially how he did Tom Landry. I have never liked anyone else and they are my 2nd fav team behind UK basketball. Dallas Cowboys, 2015 SUPER BOWL CHAMPS
April 29, 201412 yr Roger Staubach, Bob Lilly, Robert Newhouse (biggest thighs ever) Tony Dorsett, and the list goes on. I liked them much more back in the day than I do now.
April 29, 201412 yr As a Bengals fan, you had to cheer for the Cowboys because they were the only team with enough talent to beat the dreaded Steelers back in the Dorsett/Staubach era. Edited May 3, 201412 yr by True blue (and gold)
April 29, 201412 yr I've ran on the field at Texas Stadium and stood in the middle of the STAR. Had my picture taken with the Cheerleaders and have an autographed photo around here some where. Dallas is one of my favorite cities that I've visited. Emmit Smith is one of my favorite players ever. and . . . . . . . . . . . . . . I can't stand the Cowboys!!!
April 30, 201412 yr Two words. Roger Staubach. By far my favorite player growing up. And as far as I'm concerned, the best qb ever.
April 30, 201412 yr I loved Roger the Dodger Staubach and the Dallas Cowboys. I also liked Danny White and always thought he got a bum rap following the legend Staubach. I love Dorsett, Herschel Walker, Emmitt Smith, Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin. I could go on and on. One of my childhood memories is getting the weekly TV Guide and they would have the listing of the NFL games that would be on each Sunday and the TV guide would have a listing of the Team Rosters in it. I can remember trying to memorize the Cowboys roster and numbers and i would always get yelled at for tearing the pages out of the TV guide.
April 30, 201412 yr As a Bungles fan, you had to cheer for the Cowboys because they were the only team with enough talent to beat the dreaded Steelers back in the Dorsett/Staubach era. What about the 49'ers? Were they not quite the power they became at that point? This is before I really cared about the NFL.
April 30, 201412 yr They were the first team I ever watched and dad said I cried like the girl he did have when they got beat.
May 1, 201412 yr I'd rather get punched in the face than root for the cowboys. LOL. Don't say that too loud in TX....plenty of guys that would rather punch you in the face than allow you to root for their Cowboys.
May 1, 201412 yr Two words. Roger Staubach. By far my favorite player growing up. And as far as I'm concerned, the best qb ever. It's got to be tough being wrong so much.
May 1, 201412 yr It's got to be tough being wrong so much. I liked Staubach as much as anyone but to imply he's better than our own Andy Dalton is ....absolutely correct. Dalton stinks. Just had to do it.
May 1, 201412 yr Author I'd rather get punched in the face than root for the cowboys. Troll, Troll, Troll. Sad to be jealous.
May 1, 201412 yr As an Eagles fan, and spending too many years on the wrong end of too many Cowboy games, they are my least favorite team in the world.
May 1, 201412 yr Grew up during the height of the Aikman, Irvin, Smith, Woodson, Lett, era and have been rolling with them ever since (probably not a smart thing).
