In the news story I saw (believe it was Channel 5), they talked about the number of wounds, which was more than the number of shots fired. But, the reporter said that where the wounds were, according to the coroner's report, it was likely she had her hands on the wheel, and the bullets went through her wrists as she held on to the steering wheel, and then into her torso.

 

4 in the chest and both wrist I believe.

Somewhere it mentioned that she had wounds on her arm(s) which indicated she had her hands up.

 

Wouldnt your arms be in an up position if you were driving on holding on to the steering wheel anyways?

Thanks. It makes sense if her hands were up on the wheel I guess. I would think the forensics people who reconstruct the event will be able to nail it down once they're through.

If his story is truthful then she forced him to use deadly force.

I wish we had video of the whole encounter but unfortunately we don't. There are many questions and unknowns that will all come out eventually. I know if I ended up on the hood of a car and it started to accelerate, my first instinct would be to jump off. No idea if that was an option in this case, but just what I would attempt to do.

I would think it would depend on how fast the car is going or where I'm at on the hood. Don't want to risk hitting my head on the pavement or getting ran over by the car. Or even falling off and breaking a leg and then being stranded in the middle of the road where there is someone with intentions to kill me driving a car that just hit me...

If we're all in agreement that the dead weighted foot accelerated the car after the shooting wasn't there just as much of a chance at a worse injury after shooting her four times going for the kill to stop the threat? We know he jumped off a still moving car from his report to get hurt. I know we're now Monday morning QB'ing but shooting her didn't really guarantee his safety.

She was accelerating before shots and the car reversed after the shots...so I don't agree completely with your first sentence.

The big question to me is, how did the car get in reverse? If she's accelerating, it'd be darn near impossible to throw it in reverse without stopping first wouldn't it?

What is your question, only two people could have done it, the driver or passenger. What would getting car into reverse answer?
