They didn't go head-to-head on either Reggie B or Bolin, right?

 

As far as that goes, I don't think Strong really cared about Tubman. I would say they certainly didnt put more resources into him than UK did with Bonnafon.

Gotta live in 2014. You all greatly underestimate what Charlie brought and did for UL. Bobby is a good coach who had nowhere to go but UL. Stoops is an unknown but a rising unknown. I like the 1 dollar UK stock vs the 10 dollar UL stock right now.

Who underestimates what Charlie did for UofL? He was a great coach and decent guy and I wish he would have stayed forever but that ship has sailed.

 

When Bobby Petrino was in the big, bad SEC at Arkansas a couple years ago he went to the Sugar Bowl and the Cotton Bowl in back to back seasons. He won a BCS game at Louisville once already.

In what way is Stoops "rising?" And speaking of nowhere to go, Stoops can't possibly make UK worse. The only option he has is getting better.

I've lived in Western Ky my whole life, and my job requires me to travel to most counties in WKY, I've never ran into a Mizzou fan.

Except in Louisville (where it's UofL) and NKY (where it's Ohio State and Notre Dame.) And they're definitely sharing space with Tennessee in the South, WVU in the East and Mizzou in the West. But other than that, they OWN this state.

 

Again, basketball is a different story. No one will deny that.

That's because there aren't any. Ram has reached as far as anyone ever to pull out all the fans of others schools out in the state. There's a few UT fans, a few OSU fans, there are ND in every state, other then that there are no other fans to speak of. It's UL and UK.

Who cares what he says? Who cares if Cats fans adore their team? I'm pretty darned excited about my Cards, and although the Cats may be the "show" in the state, it's really a matinee compared to the Cards prime time.

Oh, and, I've always heard Kentucky is a basketball school.....at least every time the Cats lose to the Cards that's what the UK fans say. So, does that make UK football the side show?

Petrino is an excellent coach. However recruiting has never been a strong point. And teams made up solely of his recruits have been awful. Maybe he can coach his guys and no one else can?

 

So far he's been Great for a few years and then leaves destruction.
