Did a little researching on the internet, and I found that UK's average attendance is a little over 59,000 in a stadium that holds over 67,000. PJCS holds only 55,000 and the average attendance is a little over 52,000, therefore, UofL's attendance to capacity ratio is higher.

If PJCS held 67k, the attendance would be higher also. The games were sellouts. Hence why they are talking expansion again.

Now that's an entirely different matter. You can assert that Bobby's off the field antics should have prevented him from getting the job, but what we're talking about here is BETTER COACHES available to Louisville. There was no one out there with a better proven record of winning games than Bobby Petrino and to suggest otherwise is being deliberately contrarian for no real reason other than entertaining yourself.

Why are we still talking about fan bases? There are more Kentucky fans than Louisville fans; this isn't up for debate.

Not really, because in one case the tickets are likely walk-up free on game day, seeing as there are almost ten thousand empty seats.

 

Probably also helped that Louisville, Florida, Alabama, Missouri and Tennessee fans bought up some of those tickets. I don't think FIU, Rutgers, Central Florida, Houston, and Memphis bring quite as many fans with them.

Lost the BCS mantle midway through the season with the UCF loss. Attendance fell sharply after that.

 

... and justifiably so. College football games are not inherently compelling enough to watch bad ones, which is exactly what everyone KNEW the Houston and Memphis games would be. Boring as all get-out. I was so mad by the end of last season I couldn't even express it. The offense was boring, the atmosphere was dreadful, and no one cared anymore.

I live in nky. I see more uk fans than osu or Notre dame

 

I live in NKY too and I see mostly UK fans too....for basketball. We will always see more people wearing UK stuff because so many people got UK stuff for basketball lol. Also many of those people want to see UK do well, however I also agree with Ram that the majority of NKY fans their loyalties in football are stronger to OSU or Notre Dame. Now if UK ever became a consistent winning school that could change, however many NKY people adopted OSU or Notre Dame as the teams they follow the most IMO.
