In terms of fans, I think it's pretty hard to argue that. I don't think his comments had anything to do with which program is the most successful, that's obviously not Kentucky.

I've provided at least twice the reason I feel Petrino will succeed' date=' again, at Louisville. Who said we upgraded from Strong? The only thing even remotely close to that has been us saying the offense should be better under Petrino, and we are okay with the hiring of Petrino. You're putting words in peoples mouth. And using the "who's at Texas" argument is laughable. Apparently the NFL and an SEC team thought enough of Petrino's coaching to hire him. Texas has been average for several years. An upgrade from UofL as a program, no question. The only thing that has kept Petrino from a similar job are his off the field incidents. Swing and a miss, as usual.[/quote']

If by taking a jab at Louisville, you mean saying "regardless of how successful you guys are, we're still the most followed team in the state", then sure it was a jab. I'd rather have success personally. :idunno:

Uk football is garbage. I can think of no other word that can perfectly describe their football program. Bottom line: don't call your program the show of the state when you haven't been to a BCS caliber bowl since the 1950's.

Still haven't named even one person UofL could have gotten instead of Petrino...

3. Texas, as a program, is looked upon in a higher light than Louisville, and for good reason. Louisville will have MUCH more work to do to on a national level to "consistently" get to the Playoffs. Anybody with any sense would say that Texas has the better shot as of now to win more playoff games. The same would be true if Strong were still at Louisville and whoever else were at Texas.

Did a little researching on the internet, and I found that UK's average attendance is a little over 59,000 in a stadium that holds over 67,000. PJCS holds only 55,000 and the average attendance is a little over 52,000, therefore, UofL's attendance to capacity ratio is higher.
