April 25, 201412 yr Hatz or some others can fill us in on the 78 squad, but there was a name that team had that had something to do with them not having any fun at all. It had been 20 years since UK had won a title & they were clearly the best team at the season's outset. I believe Joe B. Hall referred to it as a season without joy.
April 25, 201412 yr UK is loaded. Team should fit together better than last year. Will need to probably play a little more zone this year. I'd honestly like to see them trap and pressure the ball and use their size to protect the rim.

April 25, 201412 yr That's what I was wanting for! Thought they may split up, it's happened before. I knew it wouldn't with these two. Said since they were born they'd never spent more than a day apart. If one felt like he needed to stay it meant the other would follow suit IMO.
April 25, 201412 yr Here is what Coach Cal had to say on playing next year. ( This was before the twins decided to stay): There’s two pieces to this. One, we are going to have a team that knows what to expect. We’re going to have a team that has an expectation that is built on past performance. That’s different than hope. We will be playing more people because there will be more people to play. Marcus Lee needs to be on that court. But so does Willie, Dakari and Karl. So we will play two of them together and maybe three. Trey and Alex deserve to play. It’s a great issue that we’ll deal with. Depending on how the season unfolds and aging time. Next year's Draft could be absurd for UK guys getting in the league.

April 25, 201412 yr Something else to consider....The 2nd and 3rd round games are in Louisville next year. The regional is in Cleveland, and the Final Four in Indy....Never have to leave the tri-state? Insane. When do tickets go on sale? And yes this is a serious question.
April 25, 201412 yr What's the record for 1st round picks in a year from one team? I'm sure somebody will correct me if I am wrong, but I am pretty sure that it is 5 with Cal's first UK team.
