Teddy Bridgewater - Draft Stock

Featured Replies

As a coach, you would rather have a player who performs on the field and is sub-par in workouts, than a guy who is bad on the field, but stellar in workouts.

Evidently not, #Tebow

I'm sure many coaches would love to have Tebow. I mean the one shot he had at starting, he just went to the playoffs. Tebow is for sure better than some starters now, but that's a whole different thread. Bridgewater won't slide out of the top 10.

I wouldn't be so quick to call Bortles the best in this class.

Bortles has the physical tools to be the next Rothlisberger.

I don't think Teddy has received a lot of support.

Who was it that said Bridgewater was overrated and the best of the class was Blake Bortles? As usual, right again.

Who was it that said that Teddy's draft stock probably would fall once the off season workouts and evaluations began? Just saying... :D

I always thought one of his top attributes was the accuracy wuth which he passed the ball. Don't know if one can learn that.

It will be interesting to see how Teddy's game transitions to the NFL. As someone said earlier, there have been several great college QB's who didn't pan out in the NFL. There wasn't a better QB in the NCAA last year, but that doesn't always mean NFL success. Time will tell.

What's your opinion on him? You probably watched him more than anyone else on here...

Well like I said, IMO he was the best QB in the NCAA last year. Great accuracy and decision making. Mobility to move around and get out of the pocket if needed. Doesn't always throw the prettiest ball, but gets it where it needs to be. Apparently some people have been questioning his arm strength... I've never seen anything that makes me think he has a weak arm. He didn't wear his gloves on his Pro Day, and he missed a couple of passes because of it. I think a lot of people are putting a lot of stock in that.

Sounds more like his private workouts have been shaky and when that happens multiple times teams have to start wondering.

Which is weird reoprters were saying that because at the time of those reports he literally had one private workout. Welcome to silly season in the NFL!

The more I read, I think one thing that is concerning NFL scouts with the arm strength/accuracy at Pro Day is that his hands are somewhat small, which kind of compounds the first two concerns.

I never understood the hype for Teddy. He never impressed me much as a potential great NFL QB. This was even before last season and he did nothing his last season to change my mind.

I wish him the best but I don't see this a very strong QB class myself.

See I'm not a Louisville fan, but I don't get this. Turn on the tape. That guy picked teams apart. And that was with a shaky (at best) line.

Teddy and Calvin Pryor were both invited to be in attendance at the Draft.
