How can someone pass a deadline for something when it was approved that morning?

 

Maybe he misinterpreted the deadline. It could be a 4 PM CDT deadline, not 4 PM EDT.

Jason Frakes had said he was told it would be released by 4. I assume the "Any Minute Now" post was because at that point is was already well past that.

6A Pairings

5th place from District 1 as the 4th place in District 2 for playoff brackets.
5th place from 3 would become the 4th place in 5 for playoffs in odd numbered years
5th place from 3 would become the 4th place in 6 for playoffs in even numbered years.
5th place from 4 would become the 4th place in 6 for playoffs in odd numbered years
5th place from 4 would become the 4th place in 5 for playoffs in even numbered years.
Playoff pairings rotation would rotate between 3, 4, 5 and 6 for the first 3 years of the 4 year alignment period. Year 1 would have 3 and 4 paired, 5 and 6 paired. Year 2 would have 3 and 5 paired, 4 and 6 paired. Year 3 would have 3 and 6 paired, 4 and 5 paired. Board will determine in May, 2014 as to length of time for the rotation of pairings beyond the third year.

 

The point is Cooper and Conner chose to move up in class. They are not playing in the class they belong, therefore they should not be able to force two legitimate 6A schools out of the NKY district. They chose to move up and should be the schools to face the burden of more travel.

 

 

 

Makes sense. Would be surprised if it plays out that way but I agree it does make sense.

So as I read it, a team in District 3 or 4 could tank to 5th place and get the heck away from Trinity, St X, etc in 2015. Granted, it's just that one year but still. Does that sound like a system that knows what it's doing? That a team might be better off being in last place of their district than fourth?

 

And I don't mean that as a slight to the teams in D5 & D6. Just that in many years escaping the Louisville teams is desirable.

Furthermore, it was one thing to do this 5th place as 4th place in another district when consolidation forced their hand. But now going in with that being planned? Never was there a better illustration of how messed up six classes are.

I know I am not very smart, however why not just take Ohio County and put them in 6A D2?
