Year 2...

Completely forgot about that rule change. Damn, there goes my theory.

Randle is the only one projected to be a lottery pick while Young is projected in the late teens-early twenties and Andrew and Willie are late 1st rounders to early 2nd rounders. I see Randle, Young and Willie going with a chance of Andrew leaving. To those saying Coach Cal is leaving; he has a son who is about to enter his senior season of high school. After next season is when he going to really have the decision of leaving or staying here to finish his career.

It amazes me any time one of these threads are discussed. Do you know how many college guys are ready for the NBA now? 0.

I agree wholeheartedly. Wiggins, Parker, all of them. Not ready.

They'll all still leave though.

Cal already said he's back. If one twin goes, the other follows, no matter what. Dakari needs to come back. I think he will IF WCS leaves. WCS said he still has emptiness and might come back. Young needs another year. Poythress is back. We're gonna be just fine. Had a great run.

Welcome to BGP, BSD!!

Edit.

My guess is next year's roster looks like:

Ullis

Booker

Towns

Lyles

Hawkins

Willis

Lee

Johnson

Poythress

WCS (just have a guy feeling)

I think only Randle and Young. WCS seems to enjoy college. Twins are smart and have good guidance in their dad. They'll be lottery picks next year. Poythress avgs what 6 pts and 5 boards a game? That's not 1st round stuff. Dakari will be a go to guy next year.

That's what James Michael McAdoo thought a couple years back...

If Randle can develop a right hand he will be deadly. He's no more than a role player at this point

A right hand and a solid jumper from 15 feet and in would make him a soild starter in the league. As is right now, I don't he'll be able to just bully people and go to his left hand like he does now.... He probably could rebound well enough and is athletic enough to be a contributor, but never really a star unless he adds more to his game.

Can't tell you how many times I watched teams play UK in this tourney and I'm saying "just make him go to the right hand!" But with his size he could push college kids out of the way to get to his left. Won't happen with the big boys.

I honestly think if Goodwin was still on this team they'd be a lot better. His athleticism would have put UK over the top tonight.

Just one man's opinion, but I don't think athleticism was anywhere near the problem tonight. UK, by far, had the more athletic plays (finishes at the rim, blocked shots, etc.)... It was quickness, and quite frankly, experience and savvy.

Phillip Nolan will see UK's athletic bigs in his nightmares. Tried three different times to get the ball to the rim from 1 foot away and never got it there. And Amida Brimah is a great college shot blocker and got put on a poster. Not a problem athletically...

The problem I see with the theory of Cal waiting another year is the Lakers job will more than likely be gone. He's not going to the NBA to coach the Milwaukee Bucks or another bottom feeder.

I think the twins are back unless they simply hate college or get some really bad advice.

WCS is a tough one. I lean towards him returning.

The only two definites are Julius and Young.

I honestly think Young is the least NBA ready. Streaky shooter and good athlete but that's about it. No handle, questionable basketball IQ on the drive, average defense at best. I really like him but I think no one benefits like he does from returning another year.

No right hand, can't guard LRCW. Totally agree.

You don't say?
