You see Cat, I bet you would probably look good dressed in a potato sack driving a Pinto.

My point is instantly proven. :lol2:

My wife is the exception to the rule here. She has a 19 year old car that looks like crap and sounds like it was made by Singer, she just won't get rid of it, says it serves her purpose. I'm feeling good about my married status lasting.

OK...I must be the exception. I have driven some REALLY crappy cars, but they had 4 wheels and an engine that worked (at least most of the time).

No worries; all is good in the lawildcat household. I'm not looking for bigger or better. I have driven some pieces of crap before and at this stage in my life, I deserve a car like this! Big shout out to Mr. lawildcat who was the original driver and gave it up because he knows I like SUVs and wanted me to be safe and happy! Love that man!

BTW - my car's name is Beyoncé.

You even rode the bus. I imagine lawildcat would rather die. :lol2::lol2:

You're right. I hate buses. I rode a TANK bus from Crestview Hills to Ft. Thomas every morning and afternoon for 2 years during high school. I swore I would never ride another bus again after graduation.

Yeah...I've done that off and on all my life. I'd love to be a fly on a homeless guy if lawildcat was on a bus.

Well, I'm not a princess and wouldn't act like one if I were riding a bus, that's for sure. I understand their necessity for some people to survive and I respect those who use buses to save money, cut down on pollution or whatever their reason(s). They just aren't for me.

Love buses. Prefer light rail or subways for public transit when you can get it.

I like buses. Rode a short one during my school years. Nicknamed it "stubby".:wacky:

Well, I'm not a princess

Clearly.... :lol2:

You need to check out "The Man Song" and "The Woman Song". By Sean Morey, I think.

One of the reasons my wife and I get along so well is that we both agree on function over looks. That's made is possible over the years for us to stretch our dollars much further than they would have otherwise. Used to drive our kids crazy when they were younger but I've noticed that now that they buy their own things they've figured out that there are more important things than looks when making big decisions.

Does the car run? Good tires? Will it fit my crew?

Then I'm good to go. :)

It's not about me anymore. It's about thinking ahead and sending the second one off to college in a year, preferably with a car, then saving up to buy wheels for the third one when he hits 16.

My wife has an old car she can't part with; she just said last

night I might have to put a few dollars in "bessie" to keep her

going for awhile. Granted she has purchased a newer car that

she loves but she still drives bessie everyday to work.
