Solid looking player. I like what I saw of him in that tape.

Well you have the Pleasant boys, Fitzgerald throws a good ball, Roberto London, Ron Rice at OL (He is Crims little cousin)..And I hear Gaige is squatting 500lbs. If he gets his speed and agility down he will be fun to watch. They also have a talented freshman class that is coming in. They will do some damage in a few years.

It would be great to see Scott put together another winning season. That would be a huge step forward for the program. I will be rooting for them to get it done.

I don't know about sleepers. Lots of people have been talking about/are aware of Rice, Pleasonton, London etc. And in truth, there aren't likely a bunch of next level players at Scott beyond the ones mentioned already here. But, there are some very solid, smart football players on the team. They will be bigger than most realize, and are athletic at several positions. Their offense will likely be a little more diverse this year, and in what is expected to be a down year in district, and with the non district schedule they have, 6 or 7 wins is a real possibility. They will be young, with only about 15 seniors. But they are set up, with the change in district coming, to be pretty good for the next 3-4 years after this year.

How are the #s at Scott. Wondering if the season they had last year help get a few more young men coming out this season. If so who and and solid talent??

Numbers are fine. They are fielding a true freshman team for the first time since this years class (2014) were freshman. This years Senior class is smallish but it's been small since this group was in Middle School. Hopefully, last years Middle School Championship at Woodland, (along with the fact that the core of that middle school coaching staff is now in it's 6th year providing stability) will continue to grow the numbers at that level. And with the feeder program now in it's 4th year, numbers should continue to improve (or at least remain solid) for Scott.

At this point, its not about grabbing the stray few kids that physically could be playing football that are walking the halls. Those kids while nice to have if you get them, they typically don't offer much help right away, if at all. In the past, that was needed because talent and numbers were thin. That's no longer the case. Right now, the key is maintaining the momentum they have at all levels, and keeping those kids in the program. Believe me, there are no difference makers wandering the halls of Scott that aren't already involved in the program.

I'm surprised Elijah Miller's name hasn't been mentioned. The young man was a tackling machine last year. I look for him to have a big Sr. season.

He really came on late last year, and was one of the top 2 or 3 guys on defense by season's end. He's an even better wrestler, and currently ranked #1 in the state at 195lbs.

Good to hear the numbers are growing. Felt bad for them several years ago when they had a few injuries and showed up to a freshman game with less than 20 in uniform. Had to give them a ton of credit for showing up and playing hard the whole way.
