Gage Tucker has plenty of time to continue developing. The kid is only what? A Freshmen? Sophomore?

Elijah Miller, I believe, may have led the team with 60+ tackles last year. He'll be a HUGE part of Scott's success on the defensive side of the ball!

I'm surprised Elijah Miller's name hasn't been mentioned. The young man was a tackling machine last year. I look for him to have a big Sr. season.

I agree scotts roster is not as deep at the varsity level as it was the last two years. So I see this season as a rebuild season. Don't get me wrong there is skilled players just not deep in qb or other skilled positions. With scotts softer schedule in the first month I see them finishing up with a positive outcome at 6-4. I think cooper and south oldham will be the top two teams in the district JMO.

They weren't real deep at skill positions last year as Castleman carried most of the load, and their QB was probably only the 4th best out of 5 in the district. Losing Castleman hurts. But Roberto London will be very, very good, and I'd argue that Pleasonton and Sowder will be just as good and possibly better than what they had last year at the other running back positions, and they will be no worse at QB. And while they lose some size and a couple next level Lineman, they've got some big kids ready to step in. Really, their depth is better this year than last year, and expect to see a lot more balance offensively, and more players contributing. 6-4 is not a rebuild for a program with Scott's history, and would be the second best season ever for the school. 6-4 is probably a lock, and 7-3 or even 8-2 is possible, as the district is down quite a bit from last year. South Oldham is probably the only definite loss on their schedule. Not saying they'll win the other 9, but they should certainly be competitive.

When I say depth from last year I mean the key players you mentioned roberto london deondre pleasant eli sowder were all in the shadows of castleman as for the qb position ben had a sophmore to back him up in case of injury this year they have a freshman as the backup qb I believe last year did have more depth on the bench than this year they also have lost majority of the experienced line. The line they have coming back besides sebree rice and tucker got very minimal varsity time. If scott is playing on all cylinders and can stay healthy then it is possible this group can accomplish another successful season my concern once again is there is a lack of talent in the shadows unlike last year I believe they should try to develop someone as a varsity back up qb besides a freshman he has talent but it is a little premature to have him as your sole back up it would have been nice if ohmer would have returned as he was the jv back up at qb so far they have two qb's total for freshamn jv and varsity.

With Scott's unique offense, almost anyone could have played QB last year, and they can go right back to that this year if necessary. But there is more talent there than you might think. Sure it's tough to lose the lineman they lost, most of which are playing at the next level. But having been around this program for the last 6 years, this years team while not having the top end talent, is as deep as it's ever been, and they've got quite a few kids that have the ability and smarts to play multiple positions.

Scott has some very skilled players that go up and catch the ball.
