That's the belief, but it fails on the follow though.

 

Quality programs win more then non-quality programs, no matter what the size of the school. The class size of the school does not make a better program, nor does the number of students in the building, the importance placed on the program determines how good the team is.

 

 

Beechwood and NCC both quality programs by any definition (and certainly with a higher pedigree than Raceland) have both struggled in recent years against larger schools, whose programs would be considered average at best. I realize I am using a small sample size and if I go back historically they have had more success against their larger school neighbors, but what Namecips is saying is absolutely true. Obvously schools like Boyd and Greenup that are just awful will lose to smaller schools, but those are the exception and not the rule. Boone and Ryle were 2 of the worst big schools in the state would have been completive and could have beaten both NCC and Beechwood (and Raceland) last year.

Don't forget that many of those BW and NCC wins against bigger schools were directed by some of the best coaches this state has seen (Schneider and Yeagle).

It wasn't for lack of trying, couldn't afford any of the houses available when we were looking and found an identical environment in Ft Thomas with a house we could afford.

I could care less if you or any other here trust me. That is kind of funny actually. I have 2 kids that graduated from Beechwood. The other two I pulled out.

 

I also had a child with learning disabilities. Her job in school was to help the other kids with down syndrome. Really? Their reasoning was they just didn't have the people to help them all. Who says that and who has the nerve to admit it? Only Beechwood. So there is my testimony. Hope that makes you feel better. Does that mean I have an axe to grind? Maybe, but who wants their child to go to school to help others?

It was only a couple of years ago that BW shutout SK and dumped a a ton of points on Dixie a few weeks later. Both 6A schools. There are a few exceptions but even large schools have their ups and downs as both SK and Dixie have really turned it around.

Schneider has a lot of wins, but there has never been a day he was one of the best coaches in the state. NCC had success in spite of Schneider, not because of him.
