Unfortunately I'm older than that so I have to go back more than 30. While it wasn't fun, it also wasn't the same amount of time. So I do think it is different. I would say there is at least twice as much time involved now.

Completely agree. When the final whistle blew in November we did not touch a ball or get together as a team until the middle of the following August. I went to one of the larger HS in Michigan and our weight room was behind a curtain (with no Wizard) in the gym and consisted of a bench, a few dumbbells and some jump ropes for about 80 guys.

I have to agree that the workouts during the month of June are something that I didn't have to endure "back in the day", but what do you do, all the other programs use that time for conditioning and strength training, guess its like keeping up with the Jones's. It seems as though all the sports in high school have become year round enterprises, and I'm not so sure that is a good thing.

There is a lot of potential with this team. The boys have to keep their eye on the prize. It has been too long since a Beechwood football player got a ring.

Gentlemen since both teams have plenty of rings on their fingers, I do believe a small little school in the Capital City wants to take one of their own. So not saying they will just don't plan on a private 2 team event this season.......

IMO the game of the year, that will be an absolute battle, hope everything falls into place for this to happen..........cant wait!
