March is here in 10 days. This team is what it is, young and sloppy with the ball. I honestly don't see much more improvement than what we are seeing now. Don't see them getting far in the Dance.

I tend to agree with you and I hope we're both wrong. But I think they're really going to have to pick up the pace of their improvement to make any noise in the NCAA tourney, I believe.

Didn't watch this one until really late last night, but the Cats were clicking for most of the game. Perimeter shooting, as well as free throw shooting were solid & I thought it was the best UK has played offensively in transition all year long. Turnovers were a definite problem, but they were covered up by the excellent shooting.

As others have said, they won a game I feared they would lose on the road, so any kind of a win is a good one.

I do believe that UK is a really poor matchup for Ole Miss. The Rebels have nothing on the interior & Henderson's early & erratic shooting doesn't force UK to play a grind it out, halfcourt defense, which is easily this team's biggest weakness.

It didn't bother me either and I completely understand why Marshall did it.

Classy.

Classy.

It's not acceptable behavior. I'm not going to give him a pass for that foul. Dude is a punk.

He might be a punk but a hard foul is just as classy as throwing down a dunk with 20 seconds left on another team's home court. I'm a UK fan but it is what it is.

I agree with your comment about Cal making sarcastic faces at his players. That has to be a slight turnoff to potential recruits watching on TV. I realize he still signs great players but his posturing and distorted facial expressions has to be a little embarrassing to his players, and recruits have to notice. Seems like he has been worse with that part of his coaching style the past two years more than his first years at UK.

I would have liked to see the entire conversation seeing both Coach Cal and Randle (I think). Did Coach ask him about something they have been working on since October? Did he ask about something that they had worked on all week? I highly doubt that Coach was reacting just to be reacting.

The foul didn't really bother me becaus Randle was showboating and Henderson could have gone in a lot harder and potentially injure him. Now into his other antics, he's an embarrassment to college athletics. His reactions on the court last night was absolutely terrible.

I don't have a problem with Randle trying to dunk in that situation, but neither do I have a problem with Henderson's hard foul. I would have done the same if I was him. I don't think he intended to hurt Julius, but rather wanted to keep him from dunking.

That's exactly how I feel about it. If you go up for a dunk in that situation, you can expect a hard foul, IMO.

Agree 100%.Julius has a great game and still some point out a few mistakes he made. No player is going to play a perfect game. Go look at the prediction thread and many had UK loosing this game. Any road win is a good one.

I agree, especially on Julius, the man plays down low when he is at his best so he is not going to get a large number of assist. I will take 25pts., 13reb from him every game. I thought that it was one of his better games this season. At a time when imo U.K. had to have a good game after the Fla./home loss this team stepped up, especially Randle. My only criticism was in the 2nd half / last 10 min. they "let up", seemed to lose focus and were just wanting to cruise the rest of the way out. Even at that, they recovered and won by double digits on the road.

I don't know about anyone else but although I criticize certain things I am waiting to watch the rest of the way out and the SEC tourney. Looks like U.K. will no doubt finish top 4 and have a double bye in the SEC tourney, that's huge.

Seems like he is attention starved or something. Anyway, I am not going to play Dr. Phil with him:rolleyes: ...no doubt a great shooter but when a team gets in his face on defense he gets frustrated and looks bad, real bad and starts whining.

I agree with you, 3 different schools I think, jail time on a couple of occasions in the past, has been sat (not nearly enough imo) by his coach for #22 just being #22, pops off constantly to officials. Add all together = Classless Punk !

If a guy goes up for a dunk up 12 with 20 seconds left against me on my home court, I'm hacking him, and I'm hacking him as hard as I can.

I get people not liking Henderson, but it baffles me that people don't enjoy watching him play. He's pure entertainment. :idunno:

I love watching him play. I wouldn't necessarily want him on my team but he's fun to watch.
