February 11, 201412 yr Author Talked to Birdsfan a little while ago, some good news. He has been out of bed and in his chair for the better part of today, they have removed his arterial line and the amount of fluid they have pulled from him, if I remember correctly, is in the neighborhood of 22 or 23 liters. That's around 50 lbs of fluid! I know he is still a bit tired, but he's breathing better and they're talking about moving him to a different room possibly tomorrow. That could be a step down to TCU or even a regular room. Keep the prayers going, they're doing BF a world of good! Thanks!
February 12, 201412 yr Official word just came down: I'm getting out of MICU today! On the flip side, the doc wasn't as optimistic about going home. He chuckled slightly and said, "I don't know. Lets take this one step at a time." Then he muttered something about the middle of next week. :-(
