February 5, 201412 yr One of my co-workers lives in Evansville and was off today. He's been emailing me because he's supposed to be back at work tomorrow, and from Owensboro all the way to the resort, there's probably not going to be any way he makes it in. Unfortunately, he doesn't have the same kind of job I do, that can be done from anywhere that has an internet connection. As of about 15 minutes ago, we'd managed to get 65 employess in to stay the night. There is going to be one heck of a party at the resort tonight... :lol2:

February 5, 201412 yr Our power lines seem to be icing.....I hope they don't snap. We are the last house in our subdivision on KU and with underground utilities. My next door-neighbor has wires and the little local electric cooperative. Last major ice storm we had, our power was out a fraction over a day and his was out for nearly 5 days.
February 5, 201412 yr My boss just emailed me and my co-worker in Owensboro to tell us not to even try tomorrow. 4" of snow in French Lick, and now the ice has begun there. He lives 20 minutes from the resort. He left at about 7 and just got home.

February 5, 201412 yr Just shoveled 3" of snow/sleet in NKY in phase I of clearing the back .05. Funny how the consistency is similar to sand. Cold sand mind you, but sandy. Oh, how we'll appreciate summer that much more this year!
