I understand that, but the kid can play. Folks were frustrated with Teague early and to be honest, the first half of the season, I may have taken Hickey too.

Here's the thing with that....If Hickey weren't a KY kid, no one would've thought that at any point. For some reason people tend to attach these unbelievable talents to KY kids simply because they're from this state.

Is Hickey good enough to play at Kentucky? Sure he is. Is he good enough to start or play significant minutes there? Not in the Calipari era...

I agree with all of that with the exception of the last. Depending on if you think Hawkins' minutes have been significant or not, Hickey is an upgrad to Hawkins. I understand the class difference.

But was Hickey wanting to be a reserve at UK for his career?

Cats by 5.

So I assume they are playing?

Yes according to Ch 27.

A great read on KSR on Dakrich calling the game. Here is a few of his twitter comments on UK and Coach Cal:

Calipari finally admitted why he won't come back to IU..tricked the KSR radio fanboys but not those that don't guess..AH too tough a place

So why did ESPN assign Dakich to cover the Cats?

The same reason Bobby Knight has called UK games in the past: they know it will create a stir. Just like ESPN knows Kentucky fans will stay up for the late games, they know they’ll watch Dakich, and if he does get in a jab at the Cats, explode about it on social media. Even the Worldwide Leader trolls sometimes.

Will you take the bait, or turn the sound down and radio up tomorrow night?

Kentucky Sports Radio | University of Kentucky Basketball, Football, and Recruiting news brought to you in the most ridiculous manner possible.

Dakich, just call/do color for the game assigned and keep your personal opinions to yourself. These UK kids didn't steal your candy. So you don't like Cal. At least he's coaching and not sitting behind a table on the sidelines.

I will agree with him on one thing that I think UK should resume the home and home with IU.

Not really. As long as he has no ties to LSU it's not a big deal. There are guys from KY that referee for KY schools quite a bit. Brent Hampton from Lexington has UofL a couple of times a year. Tom Eads from Mulhlenburg Co used to referee UK 3-5 times a year.

By the way, the officials for tonight are Ted Valentine. One of the best in the country.

Mark Whitehead. He's the one from LA. Good official. Worked Final Four last year and the UK/UofL game in December.

3rd official is Anthony Jordan. I don't have anything good to say about AJ so I'll keep my mouth shut.

Love Teddy Valentine!

Is this the game that Kentucky takes that giant leap forward that eveyone has been waiting for? I don't think so, but I hope they at least eke out a win. I heard the Vegas line is UK-4.

Late officiating change.

Tony Greene is in and Mark Whitehead is out.
