I guess Keyshawn and Cris Carter called Baldwin & Tate appetizers instead of the main course on one of the 2,000 NFL centric shows on ESPN that essentially reiterate the same points. After the game, Baldwin made some remarks about the two and said they were some tasty appetizers or something.. I don't remember all of it.

 

Cris Carter was on Mike & Mike this morning and he basically said "Shut up, I'm in the Hall of Fame. My credentials speak for myself".

 

I don't remember all the details as I was half asleep and I can't seem to locate audio or video. Hell, I may be making it al up.

None of the others ever did anything that bothered me. What Sherman did didn't really bother me. I just think it lacked class.

Agreed. And I think the anti UK obsession is just odd.

I've never been into all the trash talking. I guess I'm old school. Just keep your mouth shut, play the game, and respect your opponent. All that being said I honestly think I would get a huge kick out of something like this.

Carter's and Keyshawn's original comments really weren't all that off base because they were referring to the fact that Baldwin and Tate were not the main course and were appetizers. They were saying that the main course was Harvin & Rice but with them being out the Seattle offense has to settle with appetizers, which is true.

 

Baldwin said something after the game about being tasty appetizers like Hangman said. If it ended there it would be fine. However, Carter came back with what Hangman already mentioned and threw in, "What? It's reality. There's a reason they paid Harvin so much money, because Baldwin isn't good". Something along those lines.
